Rex needs to call a team meeting, tell the team the discipline issues on the field are hurting the team and then walk out and let the players police it.
Exactly. It has nothing to do with the offensive output the last few years......or the current secondary situation.
I second that...I don't care how much the players so called love playing for him. There are some obvious trends with his teams. Penalties, weak offense, and too much talk. 1st team d got walked over 2 games in a row.
Preseason is advertisement, previews, trailers. Whatever you want to call it, and right now, I don't want to see this movie.
Lol, and now there's a Rex backlash mounting....from a single quarter of a preseason game. Our fans are so embarrassing.
I believe it was Richardson who said they had the best D in the league? Anyway, Rex's defense has gotten progressively worse every year. He needs to turn it around this year.
Except its nothing like that, coaches actually watch tape and come up with a gameplan to stop the opponent in the regular season. Right now we are flipping around the roster and trying new starters out how can you decide what the defense will look like when you have no idea who the starters will be week 1. This whole thread is laughably knee jerk and this is my last post in it.
I guess you can't read. I mentioned the secondary situation and added to the several posts mentioning the offensive output. Look, it's not the end of the world, but it's okay to critique the team when they deserve it. The D deserves to be critiqued today.
Andy Dalton stats: 8/8 144 yds, 18.0 average, 1 TD-0INT, QB rating 158.3. That's against our starters. I think it's fair to be a little concerned about that.
If Michelangelo was mixing his paint and getting his brushes ready to paint the Sistine Chapel Jets fans would bitch and cry about how he sucks because there's still unpainted holes all over the ceiling.
I wonder if it could be possible that Rex isn't implementing his actual defensive schemes and play book in the second game of the preseason to give opponents the ability to scout. I wonder.
Not to mention that his starting corners in this game are a strong safety and a special teams gunner.
