Definitely a creative move. Get Allen some versatile reps and have Pryor teamed with Landry as the safety combo. Milliner and Allen as our two corners this year? Patterson/Wilson slot ?
Hopefuly but at the same time Cumberland missed a whole year to a torn Achilles...I wonder if it's the same foot
Rich Cimini @RichCiminifrom Twitter49m Cumberland left with tightness in Achilles' tendon. Not his surgically repaired Achilles'. Doesn't seem serious. #nyj
You can't be a Jet fan. That was a glass half full comment. The average Jet fan finds a bag of $20s on the street and complains that they weren't $50s.
That bag of money would go straight to Woody's pocket anyway as ticket profits for his incompetently run football team.
Well that should go well. lol. Just put Pryor over the top and have him lay wood on the first attempt. They won't go back to him.
Why not, that's what preseason is for. I have no issues with experimenting in the preseason... Now- if it was an october regular season nationally televised game, like the Vance Joseph CB experiment and debacle of 1995, I would be quite angry. Hopefully Allen plays a better CB than Joseph did!!!!!
The player who should be starting at CB for the Jets will be on the field Saturday. Sadly, he was drafted by the Bengals after the Jets passed on him.
It's truly funny how fans view this injury situation. If Milliner and McDookie never got hurt, and Antonio Allen got hurt instead, fans will be hating on Idzik that he took Dennard over Pyror. Dennard is 3rd on the Bengals depth chart. He can't beat a 35 year old Terrance Newman for the outside job. Let's get a grip guys - good safety prospects don't come around often compared to corner-backs.
I agree with you on how a lot of fans are looking at this. Idzik was left in a damned if you, damned if you don't situation due to lack of depth which stems from the old regime. The fact is both positions were needs. Idzik picked Pryor over Dennard because he thought Pryor was the superior player. There's a good chance maybe we take a safety in the 3rd round if we took Dennard. Rebuilding this team is a process and as far as I'm concerned it's going in the right direction.
