Depends on what your criteria is. If reaching and winning the SB is the measuring stick, you have to give the nod to Namath. If its compiling stats over a certain number of years and games, you go with CMart.

Using your *logic* if 100 yards constitutes "OUSTANDING" (emotionally laid out in 'CAPS' no less) then over twice that …..god, is there even be a word to describe "oustanding" squared?

Sucked? Crudity aside *ah-hem* : ) the Jets were 18-point underdogs, Namath called the game from the line of scrimmage, it was the Super Bowl, the Jets won the Super Bowl putting the AFL on the map and effectively changing the landscape of modern football (and stealing NYC from the Giants-it was great!), Namath was the game's MVP (Snell's fine game notwithstanding), Namath's in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio….need I go on? It's a darn shame at how you and some others in our "awful" fan base go out of thier way to bash our players let alone our Pro Football Hall of Fame, Canton, Ohio players. Need I go on? In the interest of "Jet fraternity" I'll take the high road and desist:

besides, you're too emotional with all this "OUTSTANDING" talk. : )

Thank you Matt for steering the thread back.

Kevin Williamas was 23, right? Didn't he have a motorcycle accident?

Joe, my son met Gastineau at the Colt game last week, and took a picture with him, my son is 6'4" and Gastineau was 6'5" and my son is 3 inches taller than him....steroids shrunk him?

I don't remember if he broke his neck...but he fucked himself up pretty good.

I do remember the Jets FO taking pretty good care of him after the accident...he wasn't even signed when he crashed and they had no obligation to him.

Classy move for an organisation that gets a lot of crap for having none.
