not arguable at all, no player played their position at a higher level than Darrelle.

My mistake for not clarifying, he's the best to ever play for the Jets. No jet has dominated in a Jet uniform the way revis did but he was not here long enough to be anointed best player. My comment was more of a best player inn the league at his position by far, maybe the best EVER(best I have ever seen). we have never had another player that could be in the best ever category as a Jet. We had Ronnie Lott at the end but he was far from great at that point.

Understood, to a lesser degree, 3 others come to mind that dominated at their positions, Marvin Powell, Joe Klecko, and Kevin Mawae

yep, all were great players at their positions but none were the unquestioned best in the league.

I would submit that Don Maynard did. I'm sure there may be a few other nominees out there. Let the games begin.

One player that you can argue as well would be LT but he came obviously at the end of his career. In his day though he was flat out dominant.

I was talking dominant in a Jets uni. If LT did for us what he did in SD he'd be in the discussion.

I don't, deserving HOFer but was he considered the best WR during his day? definitely on the short list for something like this but I wouldn't call him the revis of WRs.

Curtis Martin IMO is the greatest Jet ever.

No, just tweaked it. Best player we ever had, doesn't mean best Jet we ever had. didn't play here long enough for best Jet. The players who played at the highest level for the longest while Jets were guys like Klecko, Maynard, Powell, Curtis, Plunkett, etc...

I never seen Namath play so someone can correct me if I'm wrong or they disagree. IMO Martin was a better RB than Namath was a QB.
