16 is way too many, the only part I like is the 4 car shootout the last race...they actually have to race to win...

I don't like the new system. The old one wasn't great either, but they made it a lot worse.

I thought this new qualifying was going to be awesome, but in reality, it's kind of boring.

It's funny all the people pointing that out and saying that a win doesn't put you in the chase. Give me a break. There is still no way more than 16 drivers win the first 26 races. That said however, it's very exciting at least. My driver is 13th in points, and I like Kyle Larson, and Kurt Busch, and they're doing well too. The season is only 1/6 over though.

Kurt had a great day, started out slow but crept up into the top ten and stayed there even when 2 wrecks happened in front of him. I was half hoping he'd dump Montoya to get into the top 5 after all the bullshit that guy did in NASCAR.

Yeah it was impressive, and nice to see. Also, it's always nice seeing a first time winner, and an American at that.

Also nice to see them finish the race without being under caution.

I'm not an Indy car fan, so I was shocked when they said it ended under caution 4 years in a row leading up to today.

Also, glad Montoya is out of NASCAR. He was horrible, and Kyle Larson is awesome. I watched every Nationwide race last year, and the kid is legit.

I'm not big on Indycar either, but my wife makes me watch Indianapolis every Memorial Day weekend.

Really like Larson, and also think Ty Dillon and Chase Elliot will turn out to be excellent Sprint Cup drivers when they take that step.

I'm not at all sold on Ty, like I am Austin, but I agree with Chase. Awesome Bill did a great job raising him obviously, and he clearly has natural talent. It's about time NASCAR is getting a wave of young talent.

  15. Jets Esq.

If the driver dies, he should be charged with second degree murder. Otherwise he should be tried for attempted murder. If he's not charged, I'll be disgusted.

Update: The victim looks like he's only 19 or 20. How horrible that he's either dead or paralyzed, all because of some entitled famous asshole's rage problem.. Maybe him and Aaron Hernandez can be cellies.

The reports came about an hour ago from the hospital that Ward Jr. had died from the injuries.

    http://kevinwardracing.com/

Ward was just a kid. Stewart has no business being in these dirt track races to begin with.

Maybe they'll start requiring NASCAR drivers to undergo psych evaluations. It's not like Stewart's instability was a secret (also see: Kurt Busch).

The video. WARING GRAPHIC. I regret watching it. I'm actually going to take the video down. If you want to see it you can find it, I'm sure. It did look intentional. I could hear the engine accelerate and he swerved into him.

What was that kid thinking going out there like that with cars whizzing by? :(Anyone could have accidentally hit him, or he could have caused an accident. Tony either intentional did it, or was trying to scare him and miscalculated. He definitely revved up his engine.

How is it even a discussion if he races tomorrow? I've been listening to CBS Sports Radio all night at work. Now I am home, and ready to comment after having some time, and seeing the video.

There is no way he races tomorrow. It's disgusting to me that it's even up for debate. I don't think it was intentional, but with Smoke you never know. He surely has quite the anger problem. What do you think @abyzmul?

I saw the video, and it's brutal, but idk what to think. I wonder who will drive the 14 tomorrow. Crazy shit guys..crazy shit.

Man vs. Car. Car always wins. It is stupid to stand out in traffic especially at night on a race track. That being said, I hope Tony gets jail time and doesn't buy his way out of this.

You mean Kyle? Kurt was never the guy everyone claims he is/was. My grandma was his biggest fan, and so I got the inside scoop through his whole career, and he was more misunderstood than anything. He reminds me of the Jets, getting ridiculed for the wrong reasons.
