So true…aren't we just awful? On the other hand, here we have a Jet team/franchise that's played 2nd fiddle to the New York Football Giants and their overall history, and their legacy, and more recently, their Super Bowl successes (with the exception of the 'hip' Namath-led, late 60's Jets); a team whose one lone Lombardi trophy in their trophy case has been collecting dust for almost half a century, and yet the overwhelming Jet fanbase remains loyal and committed to the Green & White and new fans probably join the ranks every year. Whatever dissenting opinions may be put out there, I'm not going to throw our fanbase under the bus with a sweeping, put down of them all: "we have an awful fanbase" I couldn't disagree more. I like the Jets and I suppport the Jets fanbase and their individual right to their opinions.
True papa. He's moved on and I wish him well - Mark's a good dude. But, he has moved on. Then again, what if Foles got slightly dinged up and Mark came in to lead a game-winning drive against the Giants? Think there wouldn't be a faction here that wouldn't let it "move on?"
Sanchez will start next year at some point, I dont know where, but he will start. (if you recall at some point last year just about everyone was saying "Wow imagine if Sanchez was healthy" because some teams like the Vikings and Raiders were absolutely desperate for a QB)
we have been as good or better than the Giants over the last 17 years. we have not been the '87-'96 Jets, we have been a good franchise since 1997 so spare me the loyalty stuff. I was at every game in the 90s when we sucked, the "loyal" fans were dressed up in red and blue as empty seats most games.

And you can arbitrarily frame it by 'time-framing' it all you want to suit your argument ("the last 17 years" ... "since 1997") but the Giants (and Jets) history and legacy does not conveniently fit into a limited, fixed-era time frame. Bottom line: the Jets all-time record is a losing one, like it or not. It is what it is and I have to accept that unfortunate fact and love this team no matter what. I used to say "when Mark leaves he's gonna be a pretty good QB" too, or "Any QB would suck with an O-line like that and WRs that dont even try to run routes blah blah".
