I think this is crazy. If Sanchez is healthy, why wouldn't he go somewhere where he knew he could compete for a starting job? He went to a team knowing he was the backup. There are enough teams with bad to average QB's. I think playing in NY, and to an extent, the way the Jets handled him made him lose his sack.
How does he represent it? His numbers were garbage .. Our defense represents that period, Rex Ryan ! If we had a better QB we might be talking championship seasons not afc championship LOSSES. I wasnt a **** ******* hater, i stuck with him until the butt fumble but be real with yourself
Thats the stupidest thing I have heard, Sanchez was not the reason we lost to the Colts in the AFC championship, get over it hater.
Never said he was, homer. Like i said i supported **** ******* til the end, but not to the point where i sound bias. ******* isn't even better than Geno
If Peyton Manning gets dropped a month after FA started you think teams wouldn't make concessions to get him as their starter? I know using Peyton was an extreme example for various reasons. But the point is that if he's as good as you claimed teams would've been lining up to sign him. Legit starting QB's don't grow on trees and when good ones are available you go get him.
all the starting spots were taken, teams like Oakland wanted sanchez but he wasn't free. according to reports he's been the best QB in eagle camp, he'll get his chance if Foles gets hurt and if not he'll be a FA day 1 next year and will be signed to compete to be a starter. he will be a starter again barring injury.
No it isn't. If Sanchez is as good as junc claims he is. Then a QB hungry team (Vikings, Jax, Raiders) etc would've jumped at the chance to get this 2 time AFC Championship game appearing QB on their team.
1. He was coming off an awful awful awful 2012. 2. He had major shoulder surgery (not elbow surgery--SHOULDER surgery). 3. He had not played in a full year. No one knew if he could even play, even throw the ball effectively--who is making him a starting QB in 2014? You can play dumb all you want--he did not have many options. And considering when he was cut--even less. Take off the hater glasses and look at reality of what the situation was in March 2014. _
The Manning example was a bit extreme, but certainly on the right track. At one point or another I believe I've read certain posters say that Mark is a better QB than guys like Rivers/Romo/Cutler/Stafford/Flacco. If those guys were cut a month into FA, they would be picked up immediately. I'm not Marks biggest fan, nor his biggest critic. Cutting him was the right decision. His play didnt match up to his compensation.
Junc doesn't need me or anyone else to defend him but comparing possibly the greatest QB in the HISTORY of the NFL with Mark Sanchez (which NO ONE has ever done) is just naive childish tripe. Par for the course for you. Try again. _
Besides maybe Flacco, they all would have been signed by someone to be a starter even if they had surgery the prior offense. Lets not act like Sanchez is on the level of those 4. I dont think I am wrong at all. But there is no way to prove it either way. I do not want to get into a Sanchez pissing match with you though, thats for sure. Good day.
You missed the point (par for the course for you) this is not about comparing Peyton to Sanchez (which I never did) my point is that if Sanchez was as good as junc claims he is. He gets picked up quickly. You think a team would turn down a good QB because they have Matt Schaub? Lol.
