Hammon organ ftw. Always thought of him behind center, and 'under' guard. Moore than the greatest love, the world has known...
Yup and he wasnt asked to do much, thats why some of his numbers look small. If they had asked him to do more, I am confident he would have. It just wasnt nesscary in Cincy or SD to do more, especially not in Cincy. Sanchez played a brilliant game against the Bengals, go watch it again trolls and haters.
he had 3 incompletions at Cincy, 2 of them were drops including one which would have been a bomb for a TD. at SD the difference in the game was at QB, Rivers tried to do too much and turned it over, mark played w/in himself and was careful and made big plays when we needed him to.
I love Rex but he hasn't made a postseason w/o Mark and Mark is having an excellent camp in Philly. had we released him earlier he would be competing to start somewhere else. Remember, FA was over a month old when we cut him.
It's revisionist history like this that gives Sanchez detractors the moniker "hater'. He sucked in 2012. Fine. He was up and down in 2011--mostly down but he put up some production. Fine. He had some shit games throughout his career. Fine. Why not just lead with that? You need to criticize his Cinncy and San Diego wins? A raw rookie on the road winning those games? Are you forgetting how pumped we all were--how we viewed him AT THAT TIME without the benefit of hindsight? Wtf. _
Junc, it's just bullshit revisionist history. Dump on Mark for what he deserves to be dumped on. Don't dump on him for going on the road to beat two superior teams as a raw rookie. Geezzuz. _
Great, here we go again about Sanchez and how he performed in the playoffs. The same fucking things are being said over and over again. It's recycled posts from 1 year ago. Please Geno, save us from this.
He did have a pretty bad 1st half in the AFC championship game against the Steelers. Without that fumble 6, Jets probably win that game.
The Jets as a whole had a terrible start. He didn't have a pick 6, it was a sack, forced fumble, TD. On 3rd and 15 on your side of the field. You don't dial up long passing plays that side of the field on that down.
Dump on Sanchez for what he deserves to be dumped on. But when folks start dumping on his performance in the playoffs, then yeah, it's going to get talked about. _
I don't think me saying he was average and below average is criticism. He didn't make mistakes. That was a reason we won those games. He made 2 huge throws..both to Keller if I remember correctly, and with the defense playing at an elite level it was good enough. If you want to talk about the games that we lost because of Sanchez wen the defense showed up we could go there too. If you have all day to discuss em.
let's discuss, there aren't many of those games and we lost as many games where the O played well enough to win and the D blew it. we had good TEAMS, the D was the primary reason but we don't win w/o our QB and O playing well and to say he had 2 throws at Cincy shows either you completely forgot about that game or you don't understand what you are watching.
There are no lessons to learn from last preseason. a backup QB got hurt playing with and against other backups. it's unfortunate, but that's the breaks. Vick will also be out there with the 2's. As Vick already has some experience in the system, and is made of glass, i don't expect a heavy snap count. But he'll be out there.
Well the Cincy game was 5 years ago. I don't remember everything about that game. I remember the Revis pick and I remember the Keller catch for like 45 yards. But without looking it up I'd guess that Sanchez didn't throw for more than 200 yards or throw the ball 20 times. To me that says average stats. The running game was more of a factor in both wins. If those Greene runs didn't happen we prob don't even make it to San Diego nevermind Indy. In most cases a QB has to win Games for his team in the playoffs. To me Sanchez only did that once.
They dont get it, they act like playing well in Cincy is no big deal. The same Bengals team that swept the AFC North that year (and ultimately pushed the defending Super Bowl Steelers out of the playoffs), they also beat Rodgers in Green Bay. But yeah its no big deal that Sanchez played well against them despite Flacco, Rodgers, Roethlisberger going 0-5 against them that year. And people dont realize how good that Chargers team was, they were heading to the Super Bowl if the Jets didnt derail them. They would have brought a 14 game win streak into Indy (the same Colts they had KO'd the 2 previous seasons). So for people to sit here and act like Sanchez playing good in both of their buildings is no big deal is just crazy talk.
