Stephen Hill is entering his third "rookie season" This guy still feels like a rookie to me.Only on the Jets do you get 3-5 years to prove that you can be mediocre

Worst come to worst hill can still pop a few corners in the mouth blocking for cj running to the outside and give us a rare occasional big gain on a fly route.

It's fairly surprising what lengths people will go to in order to bad mouth the organization we all root for.

Every team lets their 2nd round picks play out their contracts,.. Every team has developmental players forced into larger roles by injury and or poor contract management,.

I think 5 TDs would be solid for him.

Again- this is not my prediction of how he will do- just what I consider to be the best case scenario that could realistically happen.

It's more likely he'll get 20 catches, 350 yards, 2 TDs; miss 4 - 6 games due to injuries, and have another 4 games where he is active but registers 0 or 1 catch.

My rosier stats could happen if he stays healthy the entire year, has a couple of very good games, and starts becoming somewhat consistent. That's a huge if, but I'm rooting for it to happen, as I think fans should and mostly are.

At this point I'll believe it when I see it. I hope he steps up. If he does he'd make our receiving corp go from being decent to being really good.

He should be playing himself out of a job. Unfortunately nobody else has stuck over the years. I think there is enough competition here now to finally make him play better. If not he should play himself right out of it.

He has the physical skills to become a very good WR. I definitely still have stock in Hill, but this is his make it or break it season.

Anyone care to post some recent receivers that broke through in their third year?

That is true. Hill better break through, Cotch was a 4th round draft pick, Hill was a 2nd.

Hill's biggest problem is that his hands suck. No such thing as a good receiver that can't catch.

Hill has decent hands. He lacks physicality and fundamentals.

A lot of things Hill is trying to learn now are what most WRs learned their freshman year in college.
