Matt those Boozer pics are great. Love the old SD, Pats and KC unis, nice cameos of Namath, Sauer, Riggins and Caster. Awesome. _
Stokes I agree, I liked all 3 uniforms also...Emerson was a great player for us, so I made sure I found some nice pictures of him...wait till you see my Namath pictures!
Cakes I remember us playing the Giants In the Yale Bowl and wearing them, it had to have been preseason...
I think he had one inside the 5 against the 49ers in the game when Namath had made his long awaited return.
Yes, the week after losing to the Cardinals the Jets beat the Giants at Yale Bowl. Later in the preseason beat the eventual NFL champion Vikings in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Can't remember Cakes, someone fumbled In the Chiefs playoff game in '69, I thought it was Harkey but he wasn't on the team till '70
The dopey coloring on those Raiders uniforms is the reason why the Raiders wore black uniforms at Tiger Stadium on Thanksgiving Day 1970. It was one of only two games in a decade-long stretch which featured a home team in white. The Lions or the network televising that game made the decision
The Namath touchdown was in 1974. It was the only score in the 4th quarter. The OT score was a Namath to Boozer pass.
No fumbles are indicated in the box score for the game at pro-football-reference, but I know Mike Battle muffed a punt or kickoff. It is on the 1969 Chiefs highlight film which is a great film.
Found this pic from that 1970 game. http://img.spokeo.com/public/900-600/mike_lucci_1970_11_26.jpg Didn't the Cowboys always wear white at home? _
Umm, yeah, what the heck was I writing earlier? I actually meant just the Lions. Also, that photo is the one I was trying to post earlier.
Harkey had 2 career fumbles one In '71 and one in '72, but they don't specify which games he fumbled in...
