Reminds me of a guy I know who's a big fan of another team. He has another friend who does some work for the owner of that team and actually got invited to go with the friend and owner on the owner's plane to a game. He went and got his "hero's" jersey dry cleaned and showed up at the plane with the jersey on a hanger in the plastic bag. They just released the Geno Smith and Wilkerson Nike Limited Jerseys.. So I will be ordering the white Geno shortly. My girl has a green Geno and now I just gotta get little man a Geno.
I don't know that it's an age thing. Some apparently think so, but I can see the opposite POV. But for me, I only get team stuff. You can't count on these guys to be around for that long. I have a buddy who is from South America who became a Jet fan. He bought a Favre jersey, and he still wears it even after Favre left. I inwardly snicker when I see that, since I can't bring myself to tell this guy he looks kind of silly, and of course I think about the posters here who hate Favre. But that's just an example, since in fact I have never owned a player's jersey. Just team stuff. Imo there's too much of rooting for individual players as it is in what is a team sport. Just my opinion, so dont be offended if you feel different.

Last jersey I bought was an "elite" Revis china authentic aka knock off. So glad I didn't dish out $300+ because the fukker shredded his ACL and never played a down for us ever again. Still, I rocked it at the Jets/Seahawks game in 2012, spilled beer on it, didn't give a single fuck.
