Yeah, not going to lie - I thought what Rex said about Davis was bullshit. Now I'm starting to see why he said that. If this guy goes out and balls all season long - I have no issue eating crow. At one point, I thought we were going ILB in next year's draft.
Yeah, my entire life and then gave up football to play college and minor league baseball. Got drafted out of college. And like me and all the teammates I ever had, we kept shit like this internal. If someone didn't like the hype one of our guys was proclaiming, we told him about our differences in the locker room. Kept it under the radar. The best leaders are the leaders who show it on the field and show it in the locker room. Not the guys who tell their problems to the media.

And you're entitled to it. Played college baseball at a small school in Texas, Cisco College, about an hour out of Abilene after my knee blew out in high school. Left after a year for a scholarship to play for FSU and from there was drafted late round to play minor league ball. Played there until I tore my rotator cuff and labrum. Never healed back to 100% strength so I gave it up and decided to get an MBA. Finishing up my MBA now.

There nothing wrong with what anybody said. IMO. As long as your not dogging a teammate there nothing wrong with saying your the best CB,going to be a top 5 QB in 2years or thinking there going to have the best D in NFL.
I like it. I personally don't think anything the media says will have any effect on the locker room if they try to spin this the other way. Just gives our team more ammo

He's saying the right things but it doesnt mean much coming from a guy who wasnt that good last year. Granted he's still young.
Davis could very well have a breakout season this year. He tore it up today and is emerging as a great team leader.
You also were never apart of a football team that talks to the media on a daily basis. Davis challenged his teammates to shut the hell up and show something and then goes out and backs his comments by being animalistic on the field. If you think he's the only guy who had a problem with Pace, Geno, & Milliner's comments you're crazy. Although taken out of context, and some bravado can be good, three 'best' statements puts a target on their backs to some extent.
