Again, was just joking. The nazi reference was an attempt at cross thread pollinization. But I appreciate the effort. He's been already chastened by the mods as I understand it. _
In all honesty, you're starting to go down that path again. You were on good behavior recently then you took 2 threads where they didn't need to go, and not in a funny whacky way like is sometimes the case here. You've made them about you. Please stop. _
Except I really was in Newburgh when this happened. I recall perfectly hearing it over the radio when I was practicing driving when I only had the permit.
Yeah, it doesn't matter at all if law enforcement officers planned everything and paid for everything. Simply giving someone the opportunity to commit a crime is not entrapment (in NY at least.) They'd have to be able to prove that what the agents did would've persuaded someone who wasn't sympathetic to terrorists to commit those crimes. That he's just a regular guy, and that they were so persuasive that any normal person might've done it under that pressure. It's really hard to convince a jury that that kind of pressure existed in cases of such extreme and violent crimes.
So is the documentary worth it? I saw the trailer about a week ago and it looked really interesting. I will say this though, id rather the FBI invest 1000's of hours, millions of dollars to go after the real terrorists rather than set up guys he in all likelihood never would have actually planned an attack. I do give feds credit though, since 9/11 we have only had one major attack (Boston as I can recall), which is amazing considering how vulnerable things appear to be. Im sure they have shot down many planned attacks that we dont even know about.
It's gotten really bad. First girl I ever banged was from Newburgh. Back in the 70s it was not that bad of a place. _
Dammit, I lied. The chick was from Poughkeepsie. I retract my earlier statement. Newburgh is, in fact, a shithole. _
