I understand that, I gave him shit for 2011. 2012 though was not his fault, sorry. I wont give in to that.
That's the issue with the haters. I was one of his biggest defenders but the last half of 2011 and all of 2012 he was awful. And I've freely admitted it. The haters also think he absolutely sucked in 2009 and 2010. Which is just wrong. He was good in 2009 and he was very good in 2010 and he elevated his game in the biggest games. _
You said he can't choose where he was drafted. Which is true, so if he feels he's not really a worthy top 5 pick then maybe he should've took less money. He obviously liked the money that comes with being the number 5 pick, he loved the attention as well. But then when it comes time to deal with the responsibilities of being a top 5 pick, you wanna absolve him. It doesn't work that way. The Jets paid him and made him a starter, he took the money then you better produce.
How was Geno in 2013. But you failed to respond to how naive your other post was. Because you're starting to understand. _
Geno was bad in 2013, but he showed flashes. I'm not going to even honor the rest of the nonsense you posted.
Why not? Because you're being naive? You're like a child trying to argue with adults. You don't even understand why your 2 posts mixed two completely different concepts making your arguments completely illogical. Oh, besides, you missed some basics about how salary slotting works, how the CBA works and how the Players Union works. Other than that, spot on. _
He was a rookie in 2009, he was a sophmore in 2010. People expect him to be some first tier QB, its insane. I liked his progress, I think he did struggle in 2011, but 2012 give me a break. Look at Eli Manning, take away his Oline and he collapsed, Sanchez lost his Oline, recievers, run game, coordinator....and people expect him to take steps forward? Please. Like I said though, karmas a bitch and when Sanchez wins a Super Bowl as a starting QB, all the haters will disappear.
I got BOTH your points and they have nothing to do with each other. As usual you have no idea what you are talking about and mixing different concepts makes your points incredibly illogical. _
I don't need a last word on this one, I'm still amazed at how you take an ideal, and like a child you try to naively compare it to the real world then mix in pro athlete production with fan expectations. You'd just do better to continue arguing that battery of women is acceptable. _
The problem with 2009 is they made the playoffs in spite of Sanchez (he was not good the whole regular season), but he was a rookie so you can't really kill him too much for that. And he did step it up once the playoffs started. 2010 was by far his best all-around season as a Jet. The problem with 2011-12 I have with Sanchez is once things snowballed he never really seemed to have the fortitude to get out of it, things just piled up one on top of another. Yes the deck was stacked against him to a degree - especially 2012 - but he made things worse in a lot of cases too. In comparison, Geno had some horrific games last year but they didn't snowball into the next one for the most part, that's the main positive I got out of Geno though I still have my concerns there - mainly his ability to throw in bad weather. But Geno didn't completely implode for long stretches the way Sanchez did and really our offense wasn't that much better talentwise than it was in 2012, though the difference between Sparano and Morninghweg surely helped.
People always say 2010 was Mark's best year, but in 2011 he had 26 TD passes, 6 rushing TD's and threw for the most yards in his career. There was no reason to consider giving up on him. He was still trending up. The team was (8-5) before losing their final 3 games. Then Sparano and Tebow were brought in and a disaster unfolded in 2012.
Yeah, I didn't want to bring up the negative. Still, he did pretty well for having to do more than he did his first 2 seasons.
