I've heard that Pryor doesn't use a mouthpiece so he can smack talk more effectively. Now, I'm fine with having bravado and think he'll tackle in safe if aggressive manner, but i believe that mouthpieces helps stave off concussions. I have no idea if he WAS wearing one or not, but he should in future regardless. why risk things, y'know?
Nice photo spread from camp: http://www.newyorkjets.com/photos/p...13f19968#023b224a-d045-460e-9520-579538df3fbd
Wouldn't surprise me if they labeled it a concussion as a precautionary thing and did a further evaluation to determine it wasn't. I doubt he'd be posting it's not a concussion if it were. No reason I could see for him to do that.
http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/553967_3 This is the old (2006) concussion data, I couldn't find anything newer.
One drop every practice I far from irrelevant. That on drop could cost us the game which has happened with him before
Dude, I can bet you so much money that countless receivers drop a pass a day. I mean, come on. The problem is, Hill is in the spotlight because everyone is trying to judge whether he will pan out or not. His drops are then magnified to a higher degree, thus you are hearing about them. If Megatron drops a pass in the offseason, believe me, no one gives a shit. If this was the season, fine, but we are talking about 4 days into the offseason. I'm not judging him based on dropped passes right now, especially when all we're going by is reports written by beat writers. There are many factors that go into a dropped pass, I'll leave that judgement for later.
When you are diagnosed with a concussion and u dont think you had a concussion than most likely you had a concussion lol
These practice jerseys look way better than our real game jerseys, we should switch to these (minus the ad).
I like out bright green 2011 jerseys (the color in the pic) more than the dull money green ones that we rock with now
If it hits your hand it should be caught, you learn that in pop warner football. Hill has never shown being able to consistently catch the ball so his drops should be magnified regardless of training camp or during the season. I hope he turns it around but I don't have high hopes for him.
Again, that's a broad statement that is many times false. And you are still basing your opinions on what you are reading, not what you are seeing this offseason. Many times a ball is severely overthrown but receivers have the amazing ability to jump up and attempt to snag it. As a result, there are many times when a player gets his hands on it, but can't bring it down. That's not a drop, that's an overthrow that was almost caught be an athletic attempt. That whole "ball hit you in the hands" saying is very wrong many times.
This,. The only time I really take practice drops into account is when they're brought up by the coaching staff after practice. If a player had a poor enough practice that the coach noticed and is bringing up his drops in the presser you know something isn't right. Dick Chimini twatting everytime someone lets one hit the ground is irrelevant no matter how many times it happens..
