If we're talking about Evans, he had multiple drops: @BrianBassett Shaq Evans frustrated at self in positional drills after more than one drop. #Jets @BrianCostello Shaq Evans looks overwhelmed. Dropping a lot of passes. He missed spring practices. Has a lot of catching up to do #nyj
I Thanks for posting yesterday tweets be we are talking about Friday's practice not thursday's...nice try though...
I don't know what your point is. I'm saying I hope Evans gets over his drops, seems like a mental thing. He had some yesterday and he had some yoday
Wasn't arguing with you. I was giving him an update on the entire time so far. Wasnt referring to one day
I know...I didn't respond to your last post....Because I'm done with it...it's not a big deal...just a pet peeve of mine....thanks for the convo.
Shaq Evans has somewhat of an excuse. I think he'll be fine. Besides that we have 3 or 4 proven receivers on the roster and one rookie (Saunders) that's going to be an immediate contributor. We don't need to depend on Evans this year.
Thanks to everyone for all the updates, great reading so far and lots of players to be excited about! I hate to rain on anyone's parade, but it's time to step the sub game up - I'm currently working on a Godfather from John's Famous Deli on Stillwell Ave. in Brooklyn... And to wash it down, a couple of growlers from Other Half Brewery - what's a sub sub-plot without a beer sub-sub-plot?
It sounds like the Jets are no doubt getting the real deal when it comes to Decker. I have seen countless people say that Deckers numbers were overinflated because he played with Manning but there is one thing people haven't considered at all. Decker had to share passes with Demarius Thomas, Wes Welker, and Julius Thomas, all of which caught a ton of balls as well. There is a chance that Decker's numbers with Manning were actually much lower then they could have potentially been due to Manning spreading the wealth. Now he moves to having Geno at QB and things may just even themselves out, and he will basically put up the same numbers that he has the last 2 years. This is the absolute best case scenario, but it has me pumped. The prospect of having the potential best Running Back tandem in the entire NFL has me beyond excited too. Neither Ivory or CJ2k are in the top 5, but they are both top 15 and together that could equal out to the best running game in the NFL. Throw Powell in there too as our 3rd back and our RB situation is playoff worthy no doubt.
Informative thread on practices & sandwiches, I only expected practice info but the food is a bonus! Now I'm hungry!
LOL Gotta love our fan base sometimes: "Stephen Hill can hear you. That's the message the third-year wide receiver sent to fans in the stands, who apparently said Hill shouldn't even be on the field as the New York Jets start training camp at SUNY Cortland. "Take me out of the game?" Hill yelled back to the stands as he ran out for a play. "You act like I didn't hear that s---." A few plays later, Hill caught a pass from Michael Vick and got a smattering of cheers." Lmao!!!!
