The impression I am getting about Mcdougle, this kid has a very high football IQ. If you watch the quick interview after his interception, the guy just knows what he needs to do in certain situations. Looking forward to seeing these guys in pads.
I wonder what role Miles could have with us this year. If I remember right when we put Winslow aside last year he was called up, so seems he was really close to cracking the roster. Could be a great special teams guy, maybe a little more.
Didn't see this one posted Brian Bassett @Brian_Bassettfrom Twitter36m Hill has been looking good smoother routes; good catching and seems to have a little bit more confidence today than I've seen in the past. Good news. This is really all Hill needs to do CONSISTENTLY to win the #2 job.
He started out as a receiver in school, you can really see that in the way he plays the ball, he's not a non-head-turner. I have high hopes for him, although if he blossoms, it probably won't be until next season at the earliest.
You said he can't catch for shit. A receiving TE that can't catch for shit is a bust. But yeah, he dropped 3 passes in fucking minicamp.
you remember incorrectly but let's look forward and not back. It's nice to hear Geno is looking better, if Geno becomes a good QB we could be a SB threat sooner than later.
Lol it's all good. I can see McDougle entering the season as the 4th CB or so but slowly build his way up by the end of the season.
I believe Decker, Kerley and Nelson will see the majority of snaps. It's good to have some youth in the wings, but we also have inexperience at QB. These WR's are all possession type guys, but they run good routes, will be where they are supposed to be, and can make the tough catches. That is what Geno needs the most. What I'm waiting to see is how Marty lines all these guys up in conjunction with our TE's, and some of our speedier WR's like Ford, Hill and Saunders.
This.. Imagine having Kerley and Decker in the slot, With Hill and Ford running go routes. and CJ out of the backfield? That's a lot of speed combined with 2 of the better poessesion WRs in the league. Offense could really surprise people this year.. there are a few key people that need to step up ( Geno, Hill - Mostly ) but it could be a lot of fun to watch.
I have a feeling that McDougle will be the #2 CB by the end of the preseason. I think it's going to be a battle between Walls and McDougle. I truly think the Jets may have a serious player in McDougle. I really do. Big fan of his right now.
Not to bring up old news, but Sanchez absolutely looked better in 2010 compared to 2009. Remember he had Holmes and Edwards, though. He didn't truly regress back to the worst in the league until 2011/2012.
I think it will depend highly on the situation but there's no reason to not play him there. He has the skills to fit the position and played there on occasion while in denver. Obviously we're not going to sit Decker to bring on Ford, but if we go 4 wide I see him being more of the short-intermediate route as opposed to someone we'll send long on the outsides. Also Geno played some of his better ball throwing to those positions and I think they'll want to maximize that advantage for him.
i was at camp in person yesterday. will be going at least once per week while they are in cortland. makes for a great day trip, i highly recommend it. been doing it every year since camp moved to cortland. ps: expect to see c2k flanked out of the backfield often. it will create all kinds of coverage problem for defenses and open up spots for decker, kerley, amaro, nelson, etc. downfield.
