Fave is either Curtis Martin or Wayne Chrebet...I can never chose. My first fav was Gastineau - I was young, so I loved his attitude, dancing, hair coming out the back of his helmet, all that stuff.

Least is Revis. He could have been our man, best ever CB, and ours...but money is more important, I guess. Where he is now is the clincher. The very thought of him in a Patsy jersey is almost vomit inducing.

Most hated - Chad Pennington. Totally useless after 04. We knew his arm strength was never going to be good enough but we trotted him out there in 06 and 07 anyway. Made sure he buried us in 08. Fuck him. Second is Sanchez, but he'll always have the Pats playoff victory so I can't hate him too much

Also any scrubs weve had in our secondary, like Drew Coleman, Eric Smith. All terrible football players.

    Looking at our 2007 secondary:

good lord some of those names are absolute garbage

How anyone can 'hate' Chad is beyond me. He was a ming vase with limited arm strength but he also gave us a great 2002 stretch run, a competitive 2004 season where he was playing hurt throughout the playoffs and they still were within a Brien kick of the AFCC, and a feel-good 2006 playoff berth. And he was all class and a great competitor/leader.

Holy crap. You hated one of our franchise's best QBs because he got injured?

That's like a Browns fan hating Ernie Davis because he died of leukemia.

He is a tool. Anyone who makes other people look at John Sterling should be tarred and feathered.

Least favorite - Otis Smith. He got burned more than a piece of toast.

Favorite - Tough call as I've had many through the years. As a kid growing up my favorite was Erik McMillan. Def Rookie of the Year and an All Pro. Him and Steve Atwater(years later a Jet in a twist of irony) were the two young big-time safeties when they came up in the late 80's. Klecko was another fav. Chrebet, Leon Washington and Curtis Martin would be the others.

Thats far more palatable than having to listen to him though.

I hate Toast Smith for how much he sucked with the Jets, but more for the plays he made for the Pats in 2001.

Yep! That sealed my loathing for Smith too when he had that little run with the Pats.

Otis Smith was incredibly underrated for us when he came back in '97 and '98. he was our best corner and that includes the vastly overrated Aaron Glenn.

    How about Ray Mickens?

I remember him getting burned a lot his rookie year I think and the announcer said "They are pickin' on Mickens..." That became the moniker that I used for him for awhile. But then he became a very good nickel corner and always had the knack for the big interception or pass breakup and he became "Big Play Ray."

He was small but tough, a great competitor. It would be silly for him to be someone's all time favorite Jet, but I'd say he's someone I remember and think of very favorably as a Jet.

You have officially jumped the shark when you are calling Toast Smith a better corner than Aaron Glenn.
