All these young players are definitely interesting to watch and see if they can make the jump to excel in this league, but lets not forget about our most important signing of the off season, Eric Decker. There is a lot of pressure on him to come in here and not only be the #1 receiver, but also to be a leader in the locker room and do everything he can to elevate Geno Smith's game. If he can be that guy that the opposing defense has to game plan around week after week then that opens up all kinds of opportunities for the other receivers.

So far from what I've seen from him in terms of interviews and quotes he seems like a good leader and positive guy to have in the locker room. Now we see if he can produce what he did last year without that high powered Denver offense behind him

Three keys for me this camp
    1) offensive line - who can step up? Geno needs a pocket and time to make his reads. Can Dozier surprise us? Is Aboushi for real? Can Campbell be the next Brandon Moore?
    2) corner back - is Millner ready to shut down the likes of Brandon Marshall and Jordy Nelson?
    3) Geno / Vick - self explanatory.

Im not too worried about our DB's i think they will gel together fine , our o-line can single handedly ruin a lot of our potential this year though if they play how im hoping they dont play!

Hey, heres a good question that doesn't merit its own thread, how will the roster spots be allocated?

the team should carry 3 QB's, and 3 specialists (K,P,LS) but the rest is up in the air.

I'd especially like to know how many spots will be given to WR's.

I think this is how it will go, but I'm not sure if I'm right.

    26 offensive players
    3 QB's (Smith,Vick, Boyd/Simms)
4 RB's (Ivory, Johnson, Powell, Richardson?)
    1 FB (Bohanon?)
    2 C's (Mangold, Freeman?)
7 OG/T's (Ferguson, Giacomini, Colon, Winters, Aboushi, Dozier,Ijalana)
    3 TE's (Amaro, Cumberland, Sudfeld)
6 WR's (Decker, Kerley, Nelson, Hill, Evans, Saunders)

    24 defensemen
    5 DL's (The Son's, Douzable, Ellis)
9 LB's (Pace, Coples, Harris, Davis, Bellore, Barnes, Enemkpali, George, Reilly)
    4 S's ( Pryor, Landry, Allen, Jarret)
6 CB's (Milliner, Patterson, Wilson, McDougle, Walls, Dowling?)

    3 "Specialists"
    1 LS (Purdum)
    1 K (Folk)
    1 P (Quigley?)

I think the number of linebackers and Corners fluctuates based on Special teams contributors, but i want outside opinion on this.

It's hard to imagine a guy the size of Pryor knocking the shit out of a guy the size of Amaro going over the middle! But i guess that's why we drafted him so it'll be fun to see it (not Amaro, let's say Gronk).

totally agree, and have been saying this all offseason.
QB play, the Oline, and the secondary are my biggest concerns, and will determine if we have any shot at playoffs.

Giacomini - has struggled in pass protection, where Howard was our most stable lineman in pass pro. will there be a drop off?
Winters - has to improve from last year or lose his starting spot
Colon - can he stay healthy and give us one more quality year as a starter?
Freeman, Cambpell, Aboushi, Dozier - too many developmental prospects for my comfort. can't keep them all. need real competition, with 1 or 2 guys clearly stepping up to claim the depth role. If not, have to sign a vet G to get thru this season who can play right away (not in future)
Ijalema - is he a legitimate backup swing T? if not, we better get a vet signed there as well.

Milliner - which Milliner will we get? the one who struggled 3/4 of last season, or the guy who seemed to click the last quarter of it? if we don't have the latter, we'll be in trouble
Patterson - can he stay healthy and provide the press coverage we'll need?
McDougle, Walls, Wilson, Ras I, Dixon, etc - who will step up to provide real competition?
Pryor - how quick will his learning curve to the NFL be? is he as rangy as advertised?

Smith - can he protect the football, make smarter decisions, and become a dual threat to pass/run on any given down?
can the Oline hold him upright? will the increase in receiving talent help him look like a legit starting QB?
most important player to improve on this team.

those are my main questions going into camp..

Hoping someone in Cortland will post some pictures of practice on this site. I believe someone did that last year. But this year with all the
new faces on offence I would love to see a few of them. DAMN Its finally here.

All players passed conditioning test, first time EVER in Rex Ryan's era as head coach.

Chris Johnson was reportedly "flying" in sprints also.

I think this camp will answer a lot of questions about our o-line.. Hopefully the starters will be clear for the coaches.

The WR competition is going to be very interesting! Shaq vs Hill and Saunders vs Kerley will be something I look closely at.

Most importantly I want the guys to be loose, be committed to excellence and stay injury free!!

I think if we can get Tajh on the PS, then we should go with 2 QBs on the roster.
