I know you were a Chad fan, but I don't want to paint with too broad a brush, since this point would obviously not apply to you. But some Chad fans I think do not like Favre because he in effect replaced Chad.

Of course it was not Favre's fault that he did. That was a Woody and FO decision. So why should a Chad fan be mad at Favre? No good reason.

Yes, it was very entertaining. I am one who thinks if Favre had not gotten hurt, the Jets might have gotten to the SB that year.

Sigh. All NFL players play for money.

I admired Favre before he came to the Jets, and to the extent I have a second favorite team, I guess it has been Green Bay for a few years now, certainly going back to when he was on the team. So I kind of rooted for him then. I understood why GB let him go, too. So he had to go somewhere, and I thought it was great when he came to the Jets. It also had the great bonus of allowing the Jets to move on from Chad without too much complaint from the general fanbase.

And then he played very well before he got hurt. That win that season over NE was great!

No, hating Favre does not add up.

yeah, he only sabotaged our season and the best chance we have had in the last decade to win a div title but we should cherish him!

add to it that instead of learning our playbook he was busy helping GB opponents prepare for the packers. he never wanted to be here, he was forced to for a year before he could go to the team he wanted to stick it to GB and bought did GB learn a lesson finally winning another SB w/ a much better QB.

I don't like to say I hate any player. The ones I like least are the guys who appear like they don't want to be here. I appreciate all the hard work and putting their lives on the line to help our team try to win so I try not to bash. I think we had a thread like this years ago and I put Bubby Brister on the list as he bashed us after leaving but we were an awful franchise then and deserved to be bashed.

what was entertaining about having SB caliber talent not make the playoffs? there were entertaining games like Ari, at NE, at Ten but there were very few of those. we had the weakest sched I can ever remember having, no Tom Brady and we watched Chad take a 1 win dolphin team and win a division w/ him so we could sell Favre jerseys.

I loved Chad, but his shoulder was shot and it was time to go. One of my top 3 Jets alltime, but even I have to admit it.

Loved the whole Favre year--too bad he got injured, man that was a helluva a ride for a bit.

Posts that make conclusions without explanations are bad posts. But I would not say they are the worst posts of all time.

Favre was had 3-4 good games, other than that he was bad for us.

I don't blame the Jets for getting fed up w/ Chad's injuries, I did hate getting Favre. I was coming around to him until he tanked it in December and ruined our season.

I don't want to hear about injuries, the man made his career playing through pain and he played so he is judged on how he played which was awful. mark was hurt to end 2011, he played and was awful. he gets judged on that.

It was fun for a few minutes seeing a future HOFer under C but it ended w/ a guy who clearly was not interested in being here.

I kind of understand why some do not like Revis. For example FO Homers do not like Revis.

But I don't get Favre hatred for the reasons Stokes and i have been mentioning on this thread.

Favorite: Chad Pennington/Wayne Chrebet. 1a/1b situation.

Least Favorite: I want to say Curtis Conway or Justin McCareins. Both so disappointing. Jason Taylor too. Brett Favre for sure.

you are funny. you can understand why fans hate a great player for the Jets but you can't understand why they would hate a guy who sabotaged our division title hopes in his one season here where he was mediocre. Amazing.

I wasn't a big fan of the Favre acquisition as well. Schottenheimer and Favre were a match made in heaven.

Both should have been showed the door after that debacle of a season. To this day, I'm shocked we were 8-3 or whatever our record was.

My favorite Favre moment was went the so-so Jets led by Favre strolled into Tennessee and toppled the 10-0 Titans.

In before Darksiders: "If the Jets didn't suck so bad we never would have needed Favre and the game would never have been so close".
