http://espn.go.com/nfl/qbr/_/type/player-game/group/4 I was looking over the AFCE QB ratings for 2013. Of the Top 10 QB Performances for the entire season, Geno and Brady each appear 4 times. Tannehill and Manuel each appear once: Brady (97.1, 91.1, 87.4, 81.1) Smith (90.7, 87.3, 85.8, 83.1) Tannehill (82.2) Manuel (76.2) Geno also had the 11th best QB rating at 73.2 While Geno dominates the lower half of the charts (haha) he also had 5 of the top 11 QB ratings for the year among all AFCE QBs, including Brady. So here's to Geno dominating the Top 10 again this year (without so many Bottom 10's). Extra Credit: In our 30-27 OT win against NE: Geno (38.9), Brady (29.5)....they both stunk but another slight edge to Geno. That's all.
4 AFCE teams x 16 games x 2 QBs = 128 QB ratings for the season. Geno had 5 of the top 11 ratings for the season.
QBR supposedly measures a QB's decision making and then the effect it had on the game. You get high marks for making a good decision and then having a good play result as a consequence. It doesn't measure how good a passer a QB is. It measures his impact on the game based on his decisions and the results of those decisions. It's a purely subjective rating because it relies on the interpretation of the person viewing the plays and grading them. That Geno had some good games in terms of QBR is a positive thing. It means he was making good decisions in some games and the Jets were winning those games. It'd be nice to see him do that consistently.
QBR from the same day: Aaron Rodgers, whose Packers won at the Georgia Dome, completed 26 of 39 passes for 396 yards and two touchdowns. His Total QBR was 82.1. Tim Tebow, whose Broncos lost at home to the Chargers, completed four of 10 passes for 79 yards and a touchdown. And he ran the ball six times for 38 yards and a touchdown. And his Total QBR was 83.2. _
Funny how a lot of us trashed the QBR rankings when they weren't in our favor - now that a Jets QB has something positive in regards to QBR - we praise it.
Nobody is praising it besides footballgod and bradway and that tells you all you need to know about that
FU warm piss showers. I only posted a simple fact that of the 128 QB ratings in the AFCE last season, Geno had 5 of the top 11. Brady had 4. Drink a warm cup of that.
And you think that matters? It's a made-up stat that means nothing. Donald Trump carries almost no cash in his wallet, just like me. That doesn't make us comparable. Drink it yourself footballbitch.
That is a ridiculous stat. Geno's best game was against Atlanta and it's not even in the Top 10. I mean really ridiculous. Insane maybe. Geno vs. the Dolphins was the 3rd best performance of the year? Hilarious.
Trump and warm piss showers carry no cash in their respective wallets for two entirely different reasons. AND Trump has better hair than you.
Heh don't get me started about QBR. Great idea, but execution is flawed. Would love to see it in action if ESPN did a behind the scenes or something and how they graded stuff. They kept the formula stuff behind the scenes though.
Yeah QBR ain't much but it's all we got this time of year. 10 more days. At least I didn't start a thread showing how Geno dominated the bottom half of the chart. I guess that's Cimini's job.
