Pretty impressive essay he wrote: http://www.si.com/nba/2014/07/11/lebron-james-cleveland-cavaliers I thoroughly enjoyed the 4 years.
Credit to Popovich, Duncan, Parker, Ginobli, Leonard, Mills etc. Ya killed the Miami Heat as we know it.
I assume Bosh to Houston will be next. Lets see if the Cavaliers add Allen and Miller. Also the Love trade? the last we heard was that if Lebron went to Cleveland, the Cavs would pull the trigger on the trade.
Congrats soxx, you were right. The Spurs will win a 6th ring after they sweep the cavs in the finals hope you enjoy,
I have to give James credit here. He is not...NOT winning a championship next year. This is a solid move to make a wrong a right for his Cleveland..not us...not the media. He had every right to do what he did before but doing this? Classy move and has a huge upside down the road...they have 3 1st round picks next year too? I mean..this is a 2 to 3 year plan at least. Kudos..he iis officially off my shit list. Miami? I hate fans that rub salt in the wound when the get jarred...but Riley? He may not want to try to do this all over again.
That wasnt toward you, fyi. I gotta credit Mike Francesa, the day after Lebron announced his decision, Mike got on 660 and said that Lebrons going back to Cleveland in 2014 when hes a free agent. I jumped on that banwagon immediately, he called it though way back in 2010. Props to him.
I dont think he was gunna win either place next season tbh (that might change though, it depends if the Spurs get KO'd), but the Heat were going downward because of age while the Cavs are going up
Lebron says the Cavs are not close, but I think hes downplaying that. I think the Cavs should win the East, and if they can get the Thunder or Clippers in the finals they would have a chance to win it all.
The East will definitely be interesting again. Bulls? Wizards? Pacers? Nets? Your opportunity is 2014-2015.
maybe not....Miami now has the money get Anthony? Doubt it...I wouldn't want to be the next savior going to Miam..so now does Wade opting out look smart? I guess Miami can give him anything he wants? Or does Wade go elsewhere for less money...OMG..THE KNICKS!! Seriously...the East is now wide open. Wide open..and can be won by 5 or 6 teams. The Cavs will not go to the finals and as a Knick fan? This is great news...it thins out the east and makes it wide open. The only downside is the good class of free agents next year might lean Cleveland's way...but there is a cap.
So now Cleveland gets a two-year window before he departs once again to chase Jordan. This is gonna be hilarious.
