Lol That will be epic. In one night, we might see LeBron say he's signing with Cleveland and Bosh say he's signing with Houston. In one night, Miami might lose everything!! Hahahaha (evil laugh)
lol, there is nothing is wrong with star players teaming up. If management can't put a good team around a star player, why shouldn't he leave? If your team had two stars team up together, you'd be ecstatic, stop holding on to one way of thinking. Winning a title is the same even if you build a team through free agency.
While I agree that the Heat have been more successful, it ultimately is about the players on the court. Miami doesnt have Dwayne Wade anymore, hes been the backbone of the franchise since he got drafted but he is not what he used to be. Cleveland has a much more healthy young roster, that will only grow stronger and better. You have to keep in mind, Irving is 22, Wiggins is 19. So in 5 years Lebron might be declining but Irving will be in his prime, Wiggins should be hitting his stride by then to. They could theoretically begin to carry Lebron (a la Tim Duncan). See the issue with Miami is that if Bosh and Wade do return, they are both taking 4-5 year deals. That might look ok next season, but what about 2016? 2017? 2018? Those guys could be shot to shit by then, so Lebron would only take a one year deal anyway and probably leave next year if he did come back to Miami. Bosh and Wade arent taking any short term deals (like 1 year), I can assure ya that.
LeBron has a chance to win Cleveland their first title in any sport since the 1960s. You're gonna tell me LeBron would pass up that chance!? Come on. We're talking about the same guy who threw a parade for his decision in Miami and promised 8+ rings.
Perhaps the Heat suck for the next 4 years, get 3 number one overall picks and then Lebron returns to Miami summer of 2018? How bout that.
Perhaps the Knicks let Melo walk this year and then after next year sign LeBron James and every other fuckin free agent on the market and beat the Celtics record for most consecutive championships won. It could happen.
I still would want Cleveland to fill out that roster with good, veteran players. If I'm Lebron, I'm verbally getting all those guys to agree to sign in Cleveland, Cleveland lol, if he signs there. Youth is awesome, but Lebron can't be the only guy with meaningful playoff experience on the team
Cleveland does look attractive, but they are an unproven group. The GM is a rookie, we have yet to see David Blatt coach in the NBA, and they have an owner, who is not willing to pay the tax. I like Wiggins, but there's a good chance he busts, we just don't know.If LBJ resigns I expect it to be a 2 year deal. He will be a FA in 2016, and could team up with his good friend Kevin Durant. He'd also get to see the progress the Cavs have made. I don't Bosh will sign a 4 year or 5 deal. I'm thinking maybe three years, because if LeBron were to leave Miami in 2016 or 2015 Bosh would be stuck taking a huge paycut for a borderlineplayoff team.. Wade can't get a five year deal, because of the 0over 36 rule. He'll probably get four years. Right now I think LeBron will come back, but leave in 2016 or 2017.
I think 3 years with an opt out after 2 years is a possibility. Also, seeing the fanfare Cleveland fans are making on Twitter/message boards/ etc they truly believe Lebron is coming back. For their sakes, I hope they win one and get him back. Their devastation would be ridiculous if Lebron just resigns in Miami
get ready @CleSportsSource Rumor: Nike bought all the empty and available billboards in Cleveland. #Cavs Chris Sheridan @sheridenhoops Plugged in source says 90 percent chance @KingJames returns to #Cavs, & it'll be announced on LeBronjames.com
Irving better be ready if it is true. His life will never be the same after tomorrow, the pressure is going to be real, and through the roof.
