Yup. Lebron would be a fuckin moron to go back to Miami.

What did Miami do to upgrade? Sign McRoberts and Granger? Give me a break.

I love the Heat's situation right now, break the fuck up. I also hope melo stays in NY. i think star players teaming up is so gay. Takes the fun away from the game. If a team drafts well or developed their players into beast thats a different story *see OKC & San Antonio... But that buddy buddy sign for less and dominate shit is gay.

If all a player is in it for is a payday, then I guess you can't blame them for taking the money and running. But if a player wants to be part of a lasting contender, he should probably learn his lesson and find a team that is interested in doing that. At Lebron's age, you'd think he'd want to spend the rest of his prime building something instead of cashing in on the short term.

I don't see a place for him like that in FA. I would trust Riley and Miami over Cleveland, LA, and Chicago.

I guess HOU would be the best bet, but that is the WC and if we are talking lasting contender, even if the NBA is cyclical, the WC has more superstars than the EC right now and for the next 2-3 years.

If we go real deep into the rumor mill, Clippers would be a better choice than Houston in the WC, but that would have to wait 1-2 years so Lebron opting out now puts them out of contention.

Lebron in Dallas would have been an interesting. Established top coach in the league, let Dirk be the sidekick instead of the main guy, Jose would have still been there I'm assuming, great shooter. Monta could do better off the ball. Owner generally willing to spend money.

You'd trust Miami over Cleveland? No way man. Not right now in this situation.

Cleveland has Kyrie Irving and Wiggins both for 5 years, at least. Lebron James would come in and control that entire team. Then, they have the potential of having 3 first round picks next draft. Three. Lebron James could sit down with management and pick the free agents he wants and use two of those picks, if not all of them, to pick who he so chooses.

Miami just drafted a guy who will probably be nothing more than a bench player. They have a Dwyane Wade who is playing at an age of 50. Chris Bosh is getting less and less productive every year. Norris Cole will never be a great point guard. What future do they have in Miami? Fine, Riley may work magic most of the time, but would you honestly rely on the hopes of him finding someone? In Cleveland, he doesn't need to hope that. They have two young guys, both of which will probably be superstars, for years to come. The rest is icing on the cake.

And the greatest part? LeBron would get maximum money to be on that Cleveland roster. I mean, how the hell could he deny that? If he does, he's an idiot. Plain and simple.

    Just as I assumed previously.

For Melo it's Knicks v Lakers v Heat as the Dark Horse.

Take the sources as you will but - you have to think Melo is thinking Miami also.

If Lebron goes back to CLE - that would be so great and if he wins a title in CLE. He will become a God.

I would trust Pat Riley, Spoelstra, and the Heat organization over Blatt? and the Cavs organization. That's not to say Cleveland is in bad shape, but if Lebron is really trying to build something in his prime, he has full control of Miami with Riley. It's a coach and team he is familiar with and was a team he made 4 straight finals on. Yeah there might be a bump or two, but there will be growing pains in Cleveland in my opinion.

If I was Lebron, I would stay in Miami if they are truly offering me the max and Bosh wants to stay as reported. But he knows more about Cleveland coach and FO than me so maybe I'm underestimating Cleveland, but they have made a TON of moves that left you scratching your head the last 4 years. They were the team that should have been better but submarined themselves in the weak EC.

He built his reputation in Cleveland. He would have complete control over that team, especially after the bullshit when he left.

From seeing and reading down here in Miami, it is quite obvious that LeBron and Riley don't get along very well. They seem to bang heads a lot. Lebron was apparently furious with Riley about doing nothing to put them over the edge to win another championship last year, and according to reports he's really upset that Riley hasn't done anything this offseason to put them over the edge. Which is why people are reporting now, that LeBron is 90% going back to Cleveland. Whether that's true or not, no one will know yet, but there are people claiming it inside his friends circle.

"James’ inner circle, from his wife, Savannah to his agent, Rich Paul, to his best friends, Maverick Carter and Randy Mims, are unanimous in their belief that James’ best move is a return to the team he played for from 2003-2010."

Giving a player complete control is not necessarily going to lead to success. Giving a player complete control with Riley's guidance is a much better deal in my opinion.

I don't think Lebron was furious with Riley. I thought he didn't like the owner's move to stay under the luxury tax by amnestying Miller instead of eating luxury tax hit to help keep piers around.

Riley can't do anything without Lebron in, so Lebron is faulting Riley for not being able to say in his sales pitch "you will be playing with Lebron". Lebron, Bosh, and Wade also all have cap holds on the Heat books, so if Lebron is upset at this point at the lack of signing FA he should look at himself and his buddies holding up the cap.

While Cleveland is younger, I would trust Miami FO more in my opinion. I'm sure Lebron has his own opinion on thing. Like I said, if Miami isn't going to max him out though, go follow the money elsewhere.

It'd be foolish for LBJ to trust Cleveland over Miami. Last time I check Cleveland has a rookie GM, while Miami has built three championship teams in the last decade.

Apparently his announcement is coming tomorrow night, which explains why he is meeting with Pat Riley one last time. Its to say goodbye out of respect for the Heat, im sure Riley will try and make his last plea but its over.
