Hello all. Have been a lurker for quite some time and felt it necessary to post today. I have been a Jets fan since the super bowl in 69 where as a 12 year old kid living on L.I., watching Joe Willie play in the big game started my fandom. My Pops is the reason I am a Jets fanatic. Here he was, a 48 year old retired NYPD detective with a wife and 5 kids, a mortgage and a lot of mouths to feed and for 3 hours come game time on Sundays, the world would stop and he would sit in front of the tv and yell and scream and curse at the tv set like it was gonna change the results, which we all know it did not! When I got older and had moved out of my house, I would try to get to his house and catch a game with him on Sundays as much as I could because there was no better place to be than sitting on that couch next to the old man, beer in hand, screaming at the tv like 2 lunatics .Some of the absolute best memories I have of he and I are centered around going to Jets games together. We always would go to at least 1 game a year and usually it was against the Dolphins. We were at the Kenny O vs Marino shootout in 86 and were sitting in the end zone that Wesley caught the td in OT. Absolutely Priceless!
What's good guys im 24, I just recently moved from the haven of NJ to the bay area in California. I have also been lurking the page for a couple months and now that I'm out here with no jets fans to talk to, I felt it was time to register to help keep me sain. I've gotten a few dirty looks repping the green and white but ayyyyy fuck them we gonna stomp them week one. Repping all the way in the bayyy.... Aka the woo aka dj kushmandzadeh
Fucking brought tears to my eyes man... That is me and my dad to the tee... We watch every game together on Sundays. Wouldn't have it any other way.. Cherish those moments.

Don't think I'm going back! Its a pain in the ass to do that forum on anything other than my PC. It's as antiquated as Vinny Testeverde when he threw for the Jets.
Thought I would bump this up for some of the new posters since we seem to be getting some threads just for the newbies to say hello. Maybe the new posters could ask some guidance here before starting threads so they don't get blasted by others right out of the gate. Newbies, before you start a thread you can try a search to see if it is already being discussed, ask yourself if it is something that would promote discussion. You are already here so no need for a thread to tell us you like football, we figured that part out.
Hi. I like Taylor Ham, egg and cheese sandwiches. Never heard them called a "tower" and I like the Jets.
If any of you read the NJ forum a few years ago I was the guy that kept saying . GET Micheal Vick AND T.O. and if we did we would have won the super bowl those years.
