You never said anything about max contracts. You said it was impossible.

Yeah I saw that too. Love that app.

I honestly don't care at this point. Miami is on a severe decline either way. Whether it's with the big three or not, they are likely not wining another championship. Unless of course they completely overhaul their roster, which I still don't see happening.

Duncan is back with San Antonio, OKC can only get stronger, the Clippers will only get better, if Chicago signs Melo they become a contender, etc. Too many teams out there where dominance is impossible now. What Miami did in 2012 likely will never happen again. Dominate the entire season and dominate the post season.

Your an absolute idiot, technically Lebron and Melo can go to ANY team in the NBA, any. They could take the smallest contract possible.

So while yeah it IS possible they can both go to the Lakers, it IS possible for them both to go to the Spurs, be realistic, its imposible. Once when the Lakers fill out their completely empty roster they might have 20 million to spend. Do you really think Carmelo and Lebron will take 10 million each while Kobe is getting 24 million. Think about it for a second Numbskull.

Bosh opts out too. Same with Haslem. Miami retooling.

Since they drafted Napier, not sure they will go after Lowery. Scratch that, I'm thinking of healthy Wade. Lowery would be a crowded PG spot, but they could let Chalmers walk I think. So it is a possibility, they need someone after Lebron who can get a bucket and get to the paint.

Gortat is a possbility. Frye. Blatche?

I'm thinking the Heat need a big because Birdman looked very ineffective as the playoffs progressed. Same with Haslem. Luol Deng maybe to replace the Battier/Jones/Lewis role?

Lots of possibilities, I don't think it will be a big move for Miami, but a few small moves after resigning their 3 guys.

Welp this is a game changer

    Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 19m
Sources: As James plans for max deal, Bosh, Wade and Haslem will opt-out of deals with hopes of staying together. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/dwyane-wade--chris-bosh--udonis-haslem-entering-free-agency-in-hope-of-keeping-lebron-james-in-miami-173919540.html…

If Lebron wants the max, I don't know what the Heat can do to also fit Wade and Bosh under the cap and others. You have to believe Wade is getting a contract from Miami, otherwise why would he opt out? Bosh might be leaving then to test the market? Interesting.

Yup, LeBron James seeking max deal to stay with Miami. They are also still talking about the possibility of a sign and trade with Houston, Harden for LeBron. Saying that the big 3 with him in Houston would be ten times more potent than Wade and Bosh.

It's funny thinking on what Zach Lowe wrote, that the owners wanted a max on individual contracts to help cover themselves if they made a bad decision, and they made a lot of bad decisions. But because of this max, it can generate a system where if the players want to, taking less is not taking a lot less because there is cap on what they can get. If there was no max contract, Lebron could potentially be leaving so much more money on the table than he is right now. Interesting dynamic

Well this is interesting. When I initially saw the news I assumed that this was game over, that the big 3 would return and add Kyle Lowry. Miami is the favorite now based on the recent news.

Here's the biggest surprising news of the offseason

    Tim Bontemps ‏@TimBontemps 18m
After denying Jason Kidd's demand to oversee basketball operations, Nets have given Bucks permission to speak to him: http://nyp.st/1wXnIwr

    1) Kidd is trying to run things after 1 year? Okay that's ambitious
    2) Because he did that, the Nets don't want him to be HC?
    3) Maybe that's why the Nets didn't hire a veteran HC last year, because they weren't giving the HC a say in basketball ops.
    4) Is Billy King controlling basketball ops?

Nets have a long way to go, but they are on the right path to become the most dysfunctional basketball organization in NY

If the Bucks got Kidd I would lose my shit. He was my favorite player as a kid, and the Bucks are unfortunately my home team.

Supposedly HC and FO of the Bucks did not know Kidd was being considered. Also Howard Beck tweeted that Kidd is trying to get the president of basketball ops job in MIL which would be a jump.

Side note, some commentator on RealGM called this a couple days in a comment. Same person said that the Nets are looking to Mark Jackson to fill the HC role. We will see if that poster goes 2/2

I'll grab links in a couple minutes
