    Correct sir!

Not many meaningful playoff wins for those clubs as of late.

I was there. Neither saw nor heard nor read anything about a gun or anybody pushed off but there were fights all over the stadium. One broke out under the big scoreboard at halftime and it was still going on midway through the fourth quarter. The odd thing was there were almost no Vikes fans there, just drunk Jets fans fighting other drunk Jets fans.

Innocenti. was that during halftime of a game at Shea vs. New England?

That aside…….there's an 'issue' that still needs to be addressed: a New EnglandPatriot fan (from New Hampshire, iirc) that was responsible for killing a Jets fan en route back to New England after a NYJ-NEPat. game on I-684… and there's a legal office in Concord (NH) who has the suspect's name and who isn't giving up the ghost….again, IIRC…

New England Patriot Coaches: cheats, and married woman phillanderers

New England Players: murderers, make that (multiply-charged) murderders..

New England Fans: murderers…….and some …. still at large…

Name the most despised team in organized sports (hint: it's in the nfl)

Is that just what it's called. There wasn't an actual flying lawn mower right?

It was against the patriots. At halftime there was an rc airshow with four events. I don't remember the order but the lawnmower was last. There was a flying Snoopy dog house that crashed on the field, two gas powered hobbyist rc planes, another exhibit that I cannot remember, and then the lawnmower.

If you youtube flying lawnmower, you'd probably see a very light looking, plastic replica of a push mower flying around. At the game, the lawnmower looked genuine. Back where the endzone/players entrance/home plate was, the lawnmower started towards the outfield. About halfway down the field, it went airborne. It flew into the outfield, then into the parking lot, around one of the outfield light posts and then back. When it got to the first base side, the controller decided to do some stunt flying over those at the lower levels. It twisted and perhaps corkscrewed. Not to long into the stunts, the lawnmower lost power and fell from the sky.

Its fall of about 20-30 feet was broken by one (and possibly more) football fans. I think it was only one fan though. An ambulance was driven onto the field from the players entrance. The victim was carted from the lower level, onto the field, and into the ambulance. Then the ambulance left. Halftime was over. I do not recall ever hearing the fate of the victim ever being announced at the game. I ddn't find out until well after the game that he had passed.

    That is really sad.

Snopes.com explains that it actually hit two young fans from New England; one got a severe concussion, and 20 year old John Bowen's head injury was described as looking like it'd been caused by an ax. (He died 4 days later, taken off life support I guess.) Really sad.

I'd like to think I would have immediately left the stands until 3rd quarter started if I saw some dangerous
BS like that (an RC air show in a sports stadium.) Then again, in 1979 they were still barely used to putting seat belts in cars, so I guess we weren't too big on safety back then. "What could possibly go wrong with this flying guillotine? Let's fly it over a crowd!" Ridiculous.

Well done. Popular belief had it as Anita Bryant and not Lloyd Geisler the trumpet player. Geisler blew trumpet; Bryant blew Geisler.

For historically good........you can add Green Bay and the Cardinals....the Jets have beaten the Cardinals 6 straight times since '78.....

For historically bad.....San Francisco (2-10), Washington (2-8) and honorable mention Dallas (3-7) although 3-3 since 1990, the Rams (4-9) but a 7 game losing streak from 1986-2004, and the Bears (3-7)

    AFCE Triva....

What is the significance of this headline to the AFCE:

"OJ Simpson arrested for the murder of his wife Nicole"?
