I was in Rome in the summer of 2000 when Italy lost to France in the European Championships. I thought the city got hit with a nuke. It was of the soul of the city was ripped out. Adults openly wept on the street , I imagine had they won it would have been like that scene in Caddyshack when Rodney Dangefield says "we're all gonna get laid"

    Game day

At work today but entire cafeteria has been arranged for watching the game. Obviously I can't get drunk but pretty exciting day at work. No meetings between 11:30 and 2:30. Enough time to get ready for the game.

Heard on the radio that Recife is having big rain storm. I hope game will still go forward. Can't really wait another day for this game. Go USA!

Ghana in disarray before the game starts. Lack of compensation, players being sacked hours before. At this rate Portugal are more likely to challenge the US even with the goal difference.

Reports are the field is OK though, guess being an hour outside the city they didn't get hit as hard, still heavy rain though.

He was suspended 3 matches for his first bite and 10 matches for his second, reducing this to 9 matches makes no sense. Should have been 20 matches/2 years which ever was the most they could.
I wonder if he fights the current suspension if they can increase it.

I thought about that but I don't think so. There are a lot of guys on that team playing for money in Europe and smashing Portugal is a good stat. I still think regardless of who plays for Ghana the Portuguese will still be zapped from playing in Manaus. Although hypothetically it popped in my head what would happen if Ghana forfeited the game? I would imagine Portugal obviously gets 3 points but what do they do about the score?

Ghana sent $3 million on a plane to Brazil to pay these guys. The Ghana Prez got involved.

Muntari was already out, Boateng being out is really a Meh...The Ghana team has the attack wingers to blow past this shitty Portuguese defense

They get a 3-0 score for a forfeit, this based on a couple of other sites I read.
