He has to be done... if FIFA allows him to continue it would be an absolute disgrace. One time is a mistake or bad decision. 3rd time he should be done, for a while. Sad thing is Liverpool will loose out on millions of dollars because you have to think there will be some serious fallout from this and it doesn't even touch the iceberg with his racist nonsense last year.

Suarez should be banned. He thinks he's Hannibal Lecter. If I were a player he bitten there's nothing that would have stopped me from kicking his ass.

Sad thing is, I like to root for Uruguay. I did last World Cup and this one (aside from the US, of course). But it's tough to root for a side with a biter.

    Urug
This +100 regarding the ESPN darlings who backed into the WC courtesy of the U.S. not laying down even after qualifying themselves. Plus their asshole lowlife fans with their "Osama! Osama!" chants, their spitting and throwing bags of urine at the U.S. team as they came out onto the pitch..........in Pasadena, California.

Uruguary had better hire Cesear Millan. Suarez's is getting out of control

Maybe when he bit him his tooth got stock in the other player's jersey. That probably smarts alot.

    I'd fall down.

It rips me apart, as a Liverpool fan I want the team to succeed, he's kind of like our little monster but his behavior is so disgraceful it's nearly impossible to root for him. It would be hard to imagine how much success Liverpool would have had without him this year but in the same regard I do think Sterling and Sturridge can fill his role.

    Mexican fans are the worst.

Read some of the stories about what happens to visitors to their dump of a stadium in Mexico City.

    http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/090817

    http://douglaszimmerman.blogspot.com/2009/08/united-states-mens-national-team-vs.html

The Mexican fans at that point began throwing items at the American fans. For the most part it was beer in cups that was hurled over. But different items also made their way into the section.

They included water bottles, batteries, pieces of rock and anything that a Mexican fan could possibly throw.

The police did nothing to stop the items being thrown and it continued for the most part till the end of the game.

When Mexico scored their first goal the onslaught continued. The atmosphere between the fans grew increasingly testy the whole match.

After Mexico scored their second goal with several minutes left in the match, the thrown items actually increased. Right when the game ended the Mexican police asked for the USA fans to exit the stadium right away.

The escort continued down the ramps of the stadium with more heckling from the Mexican fans and items being thrown from above.

The police cordoned off a section and led the USA Fans to some buses that some of the fans had taken to the game. However for the rest of the fans who had come by public transport the police decided it was too dangerous to have us go to the metro station.

So instead they loaded up the United States fans into a police paddy wagon and drove everyone to a metro station several miles away where it was possible to grab a train to head back into the city.

Not sure what the most likely scenario would be for US to go out. Say Germany wins with the way Portugal have been playing won't be surprised if Ghana wins and goes through. Less of a goal difference. At the start of the WC you would have taken Portugal easily.

sadly the US going out isn't as farfetched as everyone seems to think. Even if they lose by 1 to Germany, I can see that heartless group of Portuguese getting wiped out again and US losing their GD advantage. Then this tourney will officially suck for me going forward.

Portugal is pretty much done. I doubt they blow out Ghana. If they don't, a win would get them through only if Germany decides to embarrass the US.

Ghana has a shot. They'd have to hit a parlay. Germany -144 and Ghana +210 pays +425 (implied chance of about 19%).

But a one goal win in each games puts US through via the HTH tiebreak, so I think Ghana needs to make up 3 goals (a win by 2+ combined with a 1 goal German win or vice versa).

Yeah it's gonna be close. Have a feeling Germany will decide who goes through with how much they press. You never know in this WC though , a lot of freak results.

Also I thought goals scored came before the head to head records in WC. Might be wrong though. Unlikely to come to that.

i don't think head to head comes into play at all as ridiculous as that is, or whatever I read the other day was wrong... I could be mistaken
