It'd be hilarious but still pretty unlikely unless the US or Russia miraculously wins their group.

Iran almost pulls off the tie and then in the 91st Messi gets Argentina 3 points

I'd love nothing more than for us to beat those little obnoxious putins. It'll be months before I stop sticking it to my euro friends

I know this is a little off topic but I saw this short video about how soccer is really played. I hope you enjoy it.

Ghana's play today should shut up any of these idiots who questioned how big of a win vs Ghana it was for the US.

The bad thing is Germany now needs to actually play vs the US to guarantee them getting through. A win for the US tomorrow and we can actually play for the tie vs Germany with no pressure and still win the group.

I wish Germany won today. They would play their backups against us if they did win. A win against Portugal is highly unlikely if Ronaldo plays but I saw a lot of unlikely results so who knows.

Tomorrow's game should be a great one.

I have a good feeling about tomorrow, I've seen some reports suggesting Ronaldo might not play. The US is preparing as if he will but I think we can beat them with him in the lineup. After seeing what Ghana did today I think the US is actually better than I thought. Regardless who would have thought thought that halfway through our group that the US would be in control of it? A win tomorrow would be historic not just because of the fact that we'd be through but we'd be through the "group of death" and have an unbelievable chance of winning it.

Is love to share your optimism, but not sure who will be scoring for us. And don't want to hope for 0-0 tie.

    Hey Barry

Ghana is a talented team. Multiple players playing for giant European teams like Muntari, Essien etc. the thing about African teams is, lots of players use World Cup as a stage to increase their value.

What I am trying to say is, Ghana against USA wasn't the same team as Ghana against Germany. USA is good up front but bad defensively. Strength for Portugal is their forward wingers which is a particular weakness for USA. So I don't share your optimism but I am hoping you are right.

What I like about JK is that he won't try and catch lightning in a bottle twice, Johnny Futbol was the hero on Monday and he's back on the bench. Besler is fine to play and I don't think Bradley will struggle the way he did against Ghana. Dempsey might be our best player but Bradley is the guy who brings it all together. he's like the Nick Mangold of the US Team. When Mangold is in there playing well the entire OL plays good, when he was injured our OL fell apart. That's why I am confident, I just don't see him playing so poorly 2 big games in a row.
