I find the actress in that movie, Elana Anya, incredibly attractive. She is, however, a rug muncher. She's pretty much naked throughout an entire movie called Room in Rome with another bombshell. _
How about: "Mind of a killer" (foreign movie) "There will be blood " ( Daniel day lewis) What NOT to watch: Gravity with Sandra bullock.
I'm not a Jared Leto fan, and saw the length of this movie and balked a couple of times, but man, I'm glad I knuckled down and watched it. 2:35 is a tough movie to watch unless there are some climactic interludes, but this movie was well done from top to bottom and I enjoyed the hell out of it, highly recommended. I'm not going to say that it's the best movie recommendation in this thread, but I was shocked at how well it measured up. The final concept left a bit to be desired but it does get your gunk going.
Donnie Darko, if you haven't seen it yet. People want to think it's some sort of "Emo Movie" but if you are interested in Mental Illness and just a great story that makes you ponder, I recommend it.
Capturing the Friedmans. If you like watching documentaries. That make you feel like gouging your eyes out with a spork.
Off the top of my head and you've probably seen some/all... Paris Texas (my fav film of all time) The Big Chill Silver Linings Playbook Dirty Pretty Things Submarine Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid Bullet Get Carter
Or, for something more uplifting, I've been looking forward to watching Tim's Vermeer. Just hit video.
Jake! You're out, you're free, you're rehabilitated. What's next, what's happening, whatchoo gonna do? You got the money you owe us motherfucker?
You mofo. I can't believe it took me this long to see that tralier. Right up my fuckin alley, thanks for the suggestion.
Still holding back on The Skin etc, right now I'm halfway through The Orphanage, but the story and imagery are great. I'd like to blame the constant Stephen King-ish victimization of children on G Del Toro, but he's not the guy that made this film. Bonus points for the giant perfect tits of the lead actress. Edit: watched The Devil's Backbone, surprisingly good, although simple concept.
The Skin I Live In is very off kilter and the premise is not totally believable. Interesting movie, bizarre, crazy but the woman is IMHO gorgeous but weird. Better foreign horror pic is The Audition. An innocent unrequited love story that turns incredibly brutal in a flash. With some disturbing imagery. Best Foreign a Film I've ever seen is The Lives of Others. Another good one I forgot about was Unthinkable with Samuel L Jackson and Michael Sheen. Tough content. Did you give Mr Brooks a try? _
Audition was cringeworthy but I still loved it, The Lives of Others is being kept for a rainy day, never heard of Unthinkable, will be taking care of that pronto, kimosabe.
I don't get the hype over Audition, it was an hour and a half of a shitty rom-com and 20 minutes of Hostel.
