I like to give Tiago a lot of shit, but he had a number of Holy Shit moments in the finals.

-Winderman says Wades a diva and views himself a lot differently than what we saw in the -finals (Basically believes he's still a top player). Says its going to be hard to talk sense into him.

-Says Lebron #1 destinaton is the Clippers because he has an even closer relationship with CP3 than he does Wade. He likes Doc Rivers to, and likes the aspect of the new ownership and the owner being a billionaire. Lebrons wife loves LA to. But obviously the Clippers cant get him unless its a trade, they have to get rid of Griffin so its not like hes actually going to go there.

-Also said if Cleveland is serious they would have to trade their draft pick for someone like Kevin Love in order to get James. Im not sure if these numbers are right but Lebron could go to Cleveland with Melo I guess:

If Lebron opts in, Wade and Bosh come off the books next offseason with Lebron. Then if he feels comfortable in Miami, he can recruit there after signing long term. It's a possibility if he feels comfortable with Riley and being in Miami.

As an outsider, I see 2 options for Lebron if he doesn't want people hate him more.

    1) Opt in, have Melo opt in as well. Play next year at Miami and have Melo play next year at Knicks. The year after, Bosh will be gone and Wade will make much less. Bring in Melo and maybe another superstar and keep fighting for more rings at Miami.

    2) Opt out, sign with Cleveland, have Melo sign with Cleveland as well and make Cleveland trade their first for Kevin Love. That way, he will be with Kyrie Irving, Melo and Love and his chances of getting a ring rises to the top.

I really don't see any other option for him.

Looking at Clevelands cap, they can technically bring in Melo and Lebron, along with Irving and the #1 pick in the draft for 2014-2015 season.

I could give fuck all about basketball and haven't purposefully watched a minute of the NBA in over 15 years, but I saw a columnist in the Boston Globe basically call the Spurs the Patriots of the NBA. Which probably makes sense. Not that theres anything wrong with that.

They are considering Duncan and Popovich have been together since 1997. They have won the most games, have the highest win %, never missed the playoffs, tied for most titles over that span (Lakers).

Its interesting when you look at the Lakers and Spurs. Both have won 5 titles since Duncan and Kobe came in, but both won differently. The Lakers have had more lows but also have had more highs (3 peat, repeat) while the Spurs won 5 different times, but no repeat.

I have heard that shitty comparison but I disagree completely.

The only thing they have in common is longevity with coaches and top playersbut organizations that win tend to have that.

Other than that though, the patriot fans and Boston media wish they were the spurs of the NFL. The spurs are more successful, more championships spread across more years. They don't have an asshole for a coach. They aren't cheaters. They didn't have one of their best players murder multiple people. They are more like able (probably because of those reasons).

Besides, Pop doesn't strike me as a dirtbag capable of bird dogging another guy's wife unlike Belichick who had 'the knack' for bedding 'my Shennoca' (as cockold Vincent Shennoca put it), referring to his then wife Sharon Shennoca, a classy receptionist for them NY Jints. And them's the facts...

Funny and great stuff. Just reread the live game posts on how the Heat got off to the fast start and the Spurs.

The funniest thing? And I totally hear what some you guys were saying was all of this "Lebrons gone" stuff.

That's it right? That's what the Lebron faithful will never understand. Whether true or not...and with his past there is no reason to believe there is not a chance...but can you believe in this day and age, the greatest player in the world would consider jumping again from a bad situation? THATS IT.

That is the reason he is locked in there can cant leave other then to take the only path people MIGHT go lighter on him and that's back to Cleveland. Can you imagine if he would go the the Clippers or any other team then the CAVS?

The greatest player in the world needs to think about jumping ship AGAIN because he didn't get his ring? While I think he would love to do it..it would be the final nail in the coffin for any chance of him getting respect league wide. The greatest player in the world needs to be on the run again to find a team that could help carry him to another ring.

He would love to do it...but he just knows deep down he cant. Only the Cavs....and I love that he is trapped.

Knicks are already showing interest in Patty Mills, that didn't take long.

Yeah Abyz..he will do well. One thing that flew a bit under the radar is this little guys defense. There were times I swear Ray Allen was going to punch him in the mouth. Frigging smothered him.

Not totally sold whether or not he is a true point guard distributing...but minor details...the guy has the heart of a lion. He just might surprise you though and put team before $ for 1 more year. Very impressive heart.

Patty is a great role player, plays excellent defense and has a great 3ball, and is along the quickest players in the NBA, but yeah you have to wonder about being the starter, he never really called the offense this year on the rotation squad, that usually fell to Manu. I'm interested to see how well he does as a starter, but not interested enough to lose him, heh.

Has to be Fisher wanting Mills, he frustrated the hell out of Fish during the Western Conference Finals.

Mills did play a stretch of starts where he was playing really great if I recall. Some 30+ point games. I hope the Spurs retain but it just seems unlikely.
