I wonder how much this has to do with his own future pay day. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...don-richardson-to-jets-pay-muhammad-wilkerson
I really doubt he said this because he's thinking of his own deal down the road. The guy wants to win and he has a much better chance of winning with Mo playing alongside him. Of course he wants the Jets to give Mo a contract.
Its not a huge deal , and Im sure that Mo and Rich are probably close off the field as well as terrors on it , but I wish guys wouldnt comment on teammates contract situations. How hard it is to just say "his contract is none of my business , Im sure both sides will agree to something eventually" Now Mo doesnt seem like the type of guy to hold out or to have a friend put thoughts in his head about money but ya just never know when a player could have those Revis-like thoughts.
Richardson has played 1 year in this league, who the hell does he think he is to start advising the front office on how they should do their jobs? Wow. Shut your mouth and do your job.
So basically you felt some satisfaction about making a disparaging comment on a rival team's board in spite of the fact that your opinion is malformed. You derived satisfaction from sharing a malformed opinion about your rival on your rival's forum (a place where most of the people who read the forum will be inclined to use it against you). WOW!
He always likes to come over here and stir shit in the hope that someone will react. By week 5 when Toronto's season is officially over he'll disappear.
Did you notice the athleticism that Sheldon Richardson exhibited to contain Cam Newton on one of Mo's sacks?
Hey Falco I hate this guy. I hate everything about him. But this is one of the rare times he is right. I rather prefer Sheldon to keep his opinion to himself as a guy who is with the Jets just for one year.
Who cares though honestly? He isn't saying anything controversial even. It's mid June where headlines roll in at Idzik pace, and his statement essentially echoes what CJ2K said about Andre Johnson. I'm happy he said something. We DO need to pay the man, and with all the cap room we have, better now, than later when his contract demands may be even higher yet.
And you've never played a second in "this league." Who the hell do you think you are? Why don't you take your own advice and go away and never come back?
serious question, will marcell darius be able to move to Canada with the rest of the team considering his criminal record?
The cap space doesn't go anywhere if we don't spend it. It just rolls over to next year. The Jets are trying to get Mo Wilk locked up to an affordable contract. Right now the leverage they have is that he has 32 games to get through before he is eligible for free agency. That's a lifetime in the NFL.
