I think your formatting is messed up. I do think Wilson would still struggle if asked to play on the outside full time
It just never seems like he turns around at looks at the incoming pass. He's always waving his arms blindly or so it seems. Just my observation.
To be completely fair, Wilson played an entire season as our 2nd CB and did just fine. Revis got hurt in an early game and Cromartie played out of his mind, but Wilson was also not bad. It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if he were to start this year, assuming Milliner pans out. We were 8th best in yards allowed (20 in points, though). That season we were really bad in run defense, if I remember correctly. Pass defense was a strength, albeit we had Laron Landry on our team as well.
If Wilson starts he's probably our #2 CB. As long as he's not terribad that's just fine. The Seahawks had two good CB's last year but one of them was a nobody filling in for the guy they really wanted to play at #2 CB. That's the norm for an NFL team at this point. You have one CB you kind of count on and you patch on the other side. Everybody does it.

I'm actually not down on him as much as some here (although I can't quarrel with them) but the inability to turn his head and the finger wagging is trying my patience. _
He's a good nickel corner. I don't know how some don't see that. Not overly confident with him playing the outside regularly, but in the slot he's one of the better in the NFL. Last year he was probably our best DB....
I agree he's a good nickel corner but that doesn't mean the finger wave when he's toasted and the QB makes a bad throw isn't annoying as hell.
There are stats for everything these days..if you play enough chances are there's one stat category out there that you'll excel in. Watch Wilson play sometime..then you'll know he's garbage.
Most of the negative feedback is based on where he was picked, if he were a third round pick we probably would not see him in such a negative light, the fact he was such a high draft pick, and he is only good at being a nickel back just rubs everyone the wrong way. The fact that our nickel back was the better of our db's does not say much.
