If hes a Knick fan he is going to think about him coming to the Knicks..that will be in his posts. He never said that's where he is going. As far as the Nets go? Yeah...as bad as the Knick situation is until they lose Anthony....lets face it..the Nets are screwed too. Talk about a roster that reads like an obituary.

Im a Knick fan..as a Knick fan, I just don't understand how any player would want to play in Miami compared to NY. Now...I also would prefer to play in at least 20 locations OTHER than Miami. But as a Knick fan, that's where I place my attention. If there was another way this team could be built to contend for a title wihout Lebron...Im all in. I would prefer him stay away. To me, its like rooting for AROD as a Yankee fan without the steroids...I think.

To play in a vacation town like Miami where fans leave a finals game with 5 minutes to go and down 13? I just don't understand it. Incredibly, Anthony loves playing in NY and gets it...perhaps not enough to keep him now though.

I could see Chicago. Great spot for him.

Well I dont think hes truly intersted in going to Chicago, he just wants to put pressure on Phil Jackson to pay him AND Pat Riley to make moves. Hes building up his market by trying to get more teams involved.

IMO Wade isnt even worth 10 million at this point, this guy missed half the season and has absolutely killed the Heat. Its kinda hilarious actually because Riley is going to tell him to opt out of his 40 million and take 20 million. I doubt that works, thats ALOT of money. Lebrons going to tell him the same thing to, Wades very egotistical so Ill be shocked if he takes less. Hes always had that alpha mentality and it would be a big blow to his ego to take less and basically admit he isnt good anymore (im sure in his mind he still thinks hes the best player on the Heat).

To the bold, because the Knicks were a terribly run organization with a meddlesome owner while the Heat were better run and had Pat Riley. If it was 2009 and we had Phil Jackson and the Heat had Riley and Lebron was making his "decision", we would have had a chance. But at the time we were a badly run organization. We still might be, who knows how Phil will operate, but it's Phil Jackson that's running things not Dolan.

I think he would like Chicago. The team always gives him problems and rumor is he really likes Thibs. He would be the #1 player on the team and he could be paid in a sign and trade there, getting the both of best worlds again. I would be shocked if Phil gives him the max. The Yahoo report says that Phil publicly saying Melo could take less money soured Melo. I'm really questioning if Phil even wants Melo, or he wants to have a learning year with Fisher and go clean books in 2015 and build the team himself.

Knick fans overrate the lure of New York City, MSG and the "storied franchise" that is the Knickerbockers. Nobody outside of Knick fans really put that much stock in any of that. Sure NYC is the greatest city in the world but (i) it's not for everyone and (ii) there are so many other fantastic places to live. The lure of Madison Ave is minimized by how electronic the media and advertising has become. You don't have to be in NYC to be superstar anymore or to get endorsements. Not the national stuff. Winning is what matters.

That's why I said there are 20 places other than Miami many would love to play in. Have been to many professional arenas....MSG? If its not about money..and someone loves the big city...there is no match. Not even close.

Still, a superstart, Jordan, can fall in love with Chicago and Duncan, S.A. There is a reason many players say its just different playing in MSG. There is no doubt about that...but its not for everyone and I totally get that.

My point again was....I would never every want to play in a vacation town.

Star players don't need NYK to be popular anymore, but the NBA would love star players to end up in NY. The problem with the Knicks is that they couldn't even pretend to give players a shot to win for probably 10 out of last 12 years if I'm being nice.

2011 will forever haunt Lebron James. Things would be so much different, he would have 3 right now. If he does indeed lose this year it will be a really uphill battle if he wants to reach 5 or 6 championships. If only that game 2 choke job never happenned, Heat likely beat the Mavericks.

Do you think the Heat would slipped up somewhere else if they won in 2011? If they win there, they don't go through the adversity that helped them later in the playoffs like losing 3 straight to BOS or going down 3-2 to SA, etc.

Yeah I wonder if it would have changed if everything came so easy to them the first year.

It kind of reminds me of something from the dream team documentary. Basically Chuck Daly threw the first practice game USA team had against college kids and had them lose. It was basically a wake up call saying anyone can lose, no matter how good. It then allowed him to control the team, really light them up in practice and show them anyone can be beat, don't let it happen.

Spurs are fine. Last year, it was if Lebron plays better they are in trouble, but he's Lebron of course he's going to play better.

This year it's if other guys play better, Heat will win. Those guys aren't Lebron James and they're old or in a serious funk. I was watching the games from last year, Battier not hitting 3s, Chalmers not hitting 3s, Wade is still bad, Birdman was more effective. Spurs are too much this year. This year they can load up the paint when Lebron drives and not get punished by open 3 shooters. Game changer.
