Mike Miller was all world, his loss is crippling. I have heard that he was Lebron's pregame fluffer, giving him leg and back and cock massages to keep him focused on being the ultimate badass of the world. Don't minimize the importance of Mike Miller.
I have no clue but Lebron is clearly angry at the front office. Winderman confirmed that today and it was basically confirmed in Lebrons press conference last night. Most of these relationships dont have a happy ending, and yes they did calculate it, but it appears Lebron himself is mad. Winderman said that Lebrons camp is going to try and calm him down so that they can have strong negations with Riley, but Lebron at this moment is enraged at Pat Riley. (Apparently Mike Miller is a big deal to Lebron now, I have no clue, its not like Riley had much money to spend in the first place, the big 3 has taken up most of their cap over the last four seasons).
Well according to Ira Winderman, Lebron is going to have a "heated" conversation with Riley. Its obviously not just about Mike Miller, its more about the precedent that the front office was trying to go cheap this season and something about the Clippers getting sold for 2 billion, so when Lebron saw that he was upset because if the Heat are worth that much, they could surely spend a couple extra million.
He's one of the Miami Heats main beat reporter. Has a lot of credibility and I trust every word he says.
Beat Writer covering the team since day 1 when the Heat came into existence. He's actually pretty well informed unlike most clowns out there.
Mike Miller save the Heat $17 million in luxury tax. But the Heat are getting a new tv contract worth 4 to 5 times the existing deal...They are flush with profits...He has every right to be upset. Winning the championship this year is worth more than that $17 million... They thought they could win without him AND save the money...Bad strategy it looks like.
Leon-hard was not taught that in San Antonio. It's just the way he is. He is like Art Monk. He is quiet, lets his play do the talking and doesn't showboat. I was pissed when the Pacers drafted him because I dislike the Pacers. I was happy when the Pacers dealt him to a team I do not dislike.
Hes a good #2 guy. Apparently he wants to go somewhere else and not be the third wheel anymore. I keep hearing Lakers, which makes some sense consider Kobe only has 2 years left and they really cant do much else.
I dont understand how teams cant get around the cap. A couple things..and stick with me here. If Lebron wanted to get out and lets say go to the Knicks..he can sign a 1 year contract for much less money and then go huge the following year no? Someone teach me here how these things cant happen. Another thing as far as the cap goes..and this one is slimy...but thats our job. A guy takes less in his contract but is promised a cushy job once his career is over to make it up. I mean there are some crazy names working for franchises after their careers are over. "oh no...the NBA is really on top of that kind of stuff". Come on...teams can getaway with a wink wink and pay guys down the road no? Ok...so first things first. Can a guy go to a team with not much cap room the first year for less...then the following year when cap room is huge..they get the max no? Im sure the players union would get all limp if a player did that but can it be done? Has a team ever done that with a player?
I will tell you one thing...there is NO WAY..NO WAY...if the Heat lose this series....there is NO WAY Lebron stays pat if this team returns with Bosh, Wade and perhaps a few minor adjustments to the rest of this roster....NO WAY. He will not throw a season away. Riley had the league blow him after pulling off the first big 3 but quite honestly...big deal. He had the money and got James to go with Wade and they put their arms out and grabbed Boshs hand as the train was pulling away. I dont see him pulling any rabbits out of hats this year...they have a big problem.
Bingo. People seem to think Riley is this magic maker that gets what he pleases. It is far from that. It's not about his rings because Phil Jackson would own him left and right with that. Riley got lucky. He got the best player in the world to commit to a beautiful place of residence. He got the best player in the world to chose a team that already had a superstar. From there, it was downhill. Convincing another great player was easy. Now what? You won two championships and what do you have to show for it now? If I'm LeBron, I want out of that city. Shit is going to get bad real fast. Wade is gonna be asked to take less money. He won't agree and the blame game will start. Wade will be blamed for the loss of the finals, justifiably so, and will be ran out of town if no pay cut is taken. James is furious about his supporting cast and in the meantime, will also be asked to take an even bigger pay cut just to add to that cast. So now, you have a Dwayne Wade who won't take a pay cut and a LeBron James who is furious, being asked to take another pay cut. This is gonna be fun to watch Oh and people want to imply that Carmelo could go to Miami? Hahaha In order for that to happen, Bosh would need to be cut, Wade, LeBron, and Carmelo would all need to take $14 million salaries and still, the Heats two biggest issues haven't been solved. Interior defense and point guard.
You do know that even if you convince Jets forum that Heat are shit from top to bottom, and that James has nothing to catch there.... Even if all of this is true... It still won't ensure that he will move to NY. You know that right? One more thing, just to throw a curve ball ... WHICH NY team is likely to sign James regardless of amount of taxes they wold need to pay, just to win now? Hint: "crazy Russian billionary"
Who's saying the Knicks are where he needs to go? I brought up Phil Jackson because of his rings, not because of the Knicks. I want him to come to New York, but I'm not basing that comment on it. At all
