James Dearth #85 a nice man who my kids and I met at Hofstra many times and always posed for pictures and signed every autograph
One of my very favorite SU receivers. Although taking him in that supplemental draft cost us a first rounder and Brett Favre. _
True, that and e'fin Jerry Glanville trading up. Jets had Farve pegged. At Hattisburg he was a tough s.o.b. and I remember reading about him returning from emergency surgery to take out a foot and a half of his intestines to upset Alabama on the road. Further, too bad USM didn't hire former USM QB Jeff Bowers as HC until the end of Farve's last season. Together they would've made some noise given how Bowers' teams had winning season after winning season and usually "played up" against the big boys. Aggggh...what if... (Marino 2.0 draft-wise)
