Get used to him he ain't going nowhere, the only one who may leave is Stralman, to make room for Mcilrath on the 3rd pair with klein moving up to Staal
Yeah Jon...Moore seemed to be coming around as a rare bird that can hit and skate. Lefty shot, he seems great with the puck and is a decent body down low. What has happened to him is another disaster for our youth. Team that up with Kreider, who Im beginning to think is more stupid then not skillful...and you end up with no youth brining anything to the table with this team. The Rangers farm system reminds me of the Yankees. You would figure that an idiot can throw enough shit on the wall and every 3 or 4 years..the shit sticks. Nothing. Blows me away on how a team like the A's in baseball can get so much youth to help the team out...the Rays...hockey teams getting multiple 20 goal scorers..and the Rangers cant bring along one b+ player. Krieder just seems almost hockey stupid. He runs into the goalie several times and then no longer goes hard to the net. He takes the puck around the back of the net and loses site of open players in the slot. He is horrible at reading plays and making plays. When I watched him in his last college days, he was a true playmaker at times. Not sure what happened to him either.
John Moore is a 6th defensemen, 90% of the teams in this league's #6 dman is worse...he plays better when he uses his size and flattens people
haha I called Kreider the biggest moron on the ice a few nights ago. I forget when exactly. He has undeniable skill but makes a LOT of bone head decisions. Hes a fuckin retard but hopefully that will go away as he gets a little older and learns the NHL game?
I would think you are nuts with this Jon but I cant figure out what happened to him other then his head is still swiss cheese from that hit. Staal was a true master with his stick and playing guys entering the zone one on one. He, in my opinion, was one of the best poke checkers in the league. He was incredible one on one. Then the injury...but came back to play real months worth of solid hockey before the playoffs..real solid..so with all the faults, we were set at the blue line. Until a party must have been thrown that Girardi attended too that served up stupid pills and both OD'd. I cant believe how sour both players have been. An argument could easily be made...EASILY..that if those two players were playing their best hockey..hockey that we have seen them play in the past, that this series is 2-1 Rangers...that's how bad they have been. Even the giveaways they have committed that have lead to nothing have been momentum changing. Last night..they both had over 3...at least. None really killed the team but in the back of the teams mind..its just not healthy.
The big 3 is down to the big 1....we're stuck with Girardi because of his contract ( that I didn't want to give) so Staal could be a trade piece to land a center. Im just not so sure the rest of the NHL isn't seeing the decline in his game as well
lets face it, Staal and Girardi were horrendous in the finals and had horrendous momenets in all the series this year. We need a center more than anything. Staal could POSSIBLY be a guy who could land us one
Lol..I saw where you posted that..you are correct. He is flat out dumb. He is so dumb, that I think he needs to be prodded when to "turn it on". I could see a coach saying to him on the bench "um..Kris..you can turn it on now and skate real fast" Now coach? Yeah Kris..now.
Man Jon...I agree..really do..especially about the center. Im just not sure I can give up on this guy right now. I mean, you are probably right but he has been so good sometimes.
3 years playoff experience and still a rookie, this guy is a weapon and will get better he needs to learn how to finish
give something to get something. Staal is a very good stay at home defenseman-when hes playing well. Those guys don't grow on trees but we DESPERATELY need a center and an OFFENSIVE defensman
what's amazing to me is that our 3rd and 4th lines should be our 1st and 2nd lines..............The Richards/St Louis/Hags line has been exposed as too small and ineffective. Hags has had a good series on the pk, but no one on that line is doing shit....same can be said of line 1.........talk about guys that can't finish, jesus christ. Zucc Brassard and Pouliot have continued to be the most effective line, through the season and the playoffs....I'm not sure what that says about this team. Anyone think Carcillo gets a sniff in Game 4?
im not worrying about his finishing as much as his offensive zone penalties, HORRENDOUS play in his own zone, and his apparent knack to disappear for long stretches at a time
Ill tell you what it says. we have no number 1 line. Aaaaaaand building a number 1 line starts with???????/ You got it.........a number 1 center
When we had Zubov and Leetch they played on different pairs, and played 50 minutes a game combined meaning they carried the puck out of the zone, do you ever see one of our dmen carrying the puck out of the zone, chip it up the fuckin wall!
