Make all technical fouls called by flopping review-able, just like the flagrant fouls. They can be over-turned - the games already take forever to end, what's another 3 minutes to check on a player that is flopping like a mad man?

Besides the flopping, I thought the officiating this playoffs has been pretty decent - of course you can't get everything right.

Obsessive flopping should lead to technical fouls (especially if proven on the tape) and the eventual boot from the game. It will be the only way to stop flopping. Attacking wallets of multi-millionaires won't do any good. Take them off the court and we'll see how much flopping occurs.

JVG has said the NBA has warned him about on air comments/rants in the past. And yeah, fine was being prepared right when they showed the replay. Having JVG talk probably increases the odds of turning a flop into a fine, but this one was clear cut. Was going to be fine.

No, more replay? That's dumb. Basketball hasn't figured out speedy replay yet and are just going to central command center next year or the year after. More replay is the wrong answer in basketball.

Like I mentioned before, I don't think you can in game technical foul for flopping. The refs have too much on their plate and they are having trouble telling what's a foul and what isn't. I think post game punishment is the best thing, but obviously the fines are stopping the players. I would do 3 strikes and suspended. Right now there are 4-5 levels to flopping fines. I would get rid of 3 levels I guess and have fine, greater fine, suspension. For the whole playoffs. You'll still get floppers, but someone like Lance for example could have gotten suspended on his next flop if they made the finals.

They need an official upstairs. The guys on the court doing replay are pathetically slow.

Just fining the players isn't going to stop the flopping, in a sense it has gotten worse. If you want to get rid of it - you have to hit them where it hurts the most. On the court. Regarding your bold part, you cannot get a technical for flopping. There are already stupid ways to get a technical foul (delay of game warning for grabbing the basketball after a basket was made). Why can't they replace that stupid rule with a more beneficiary rule?

A 3 strikes rule is not bad idea, but what if someone is obsessively flopping DURING the game? Since you are mentioning post-game punishments.

I meant if they introduced in game technicals for flopping, I think the refs would get worse. It would slow down the game if you used replay, and it just is kind of crazy.

I don't think I remember anyone getting fined for two flops in one game. Maybe you can make it a team wide thing, 3 strikes and your out and it's whoever gets the 3rd flop. That way a team cannot excessively flop and player cannot either. Something like that.

The delay of game rule is good. The team who scored shouldn't be able to hold the ball and slow down the other team. If you notice, they allow players to touch the ball now after scoring instead of being an instant violation. It's just if you slow the play down in the eyes of ref. I like it. Typical NBA fashion, they over called it the first two months to send a message, then backed off.

Nice that they finally fined Wade but if they're claiming that was his first flop this playoffs...

The refs could get worse, or the flopping could go away for good. Hard to really say, but I'm just throwing ideas out there. I don't think the fines are working right now.

I do like your 3 strikes rule that's a good one the more I think about it. The point of my argument is that fines aren't working, they need to do something else.

Regarding the Delay of Game warning rule, I still think it's a dumb rule to give the opponent, a free throw because they "ruined" the momentum of the game. At least let them get the ball mid-court or something. A rule like that could change the outcome of a game completely just because some player wasn't thinking and held onto the ball getting ready for the next possession.

At least it hasn't been called much in the playoffs.

Yep, like I said, typical NBA. First two months they overcall it. Also, you should remember that a warning is given and a second transgression is a tech.

Idk, it just seems that everyone is so anti-Lebron that anything he touches is dumped on. His teammates, his legacy, the cramping, him being a pussy, passing up shots even though it's the right play, the Heat in general, it's just ridiculous.

I thought before he was going to will this team to win and I still think he might.

Best basketball player on the planet since Jordan.

Yeah you were the only one. No one even heard about Fisher before you mentioned him. Great call.

Your prediction rate has got to be about 104% I'm guessing.

Lebron went to the movie theater in SA by himself.

The anti-Lebron backlash is as bad as anything I've seen since Kobe. I mean people ripped Kobe going 6/24 in game 7 of the NBA finals in a finals his team won! Lebron is in that territory now. Also, it's great seeing Lebron making that same pass to Bosh in the corner that people ripped him for in IND because "he was scared of the spotlight" or garbage like that.

Well Kobe didnt play good in that game 7, I believe Jackson benched him late in the 4th if I recall correctly. But this Lebron stuff just out of this world. Lebrons issue I guess he comes off as a nice guy so people feel they can attack him, if he had more of an alpha mentality I think he would get half the stuff he gets. Lebron is just out of this world though now, he has few flaws on offense, and fewer on defense.

I think a lot of it has to do with envy and also resentment that he didn't choose [insert team] so he's a punk ass. Other than the Decision, he's been pretty professional considering he became an adult years before any of us ever did. Love the Knicks fans hate- he was the savior until he snubbed MSG and then he became satan.

He can't win enough for me.
