They're not consistent which is the problem, four officials on that 200 ft of ice and they can't get the calls right

I was thinking that too when it was 2-0, go for the jugular and make it 3-0

yeah I thought it was brutal. The call on Pouliot.....puck wasn't in the vicinity, Quick much further out from the goal, defenseman contact with Pouliot, and he barely grazes Quick, that = penalty, King basically jumps on Hank deep in the crease while a shot comes in, that = goal. Doesn't add up.

but at the end of the day.....if Kreider, Mac and whoever else was there bungling the puck on Gabby's tying goal....if any of them manage to pull their head out of ass there and clear the damn thing, who knows.

I agree, consistency is always the ideal but when is it ever?

How many Jet games have we seen the same exact play--virtually identical--get called against us both ways.

Last year my Orangemen played Duke in a massive game and a Duke player on a drive to the hoop plowed over a Syracuse defender going for an important score--no charge called but rather a blocking foul. Ok, that's the standard.

Later--on what would have turned out to be the game winner for SU, CJ Fair makes the same exact drive move on a Duke defender--literally identical play. Not only wasn't it not called a blocking violation--they got Fair on a charge.

Led to Boehiem losing his mind and getting T-ed up.

Same exact play and it got called aginast us BOTH ways--the block AND the charge.

    It happens in sports.

yeah I saw that regular season game and those incidents...........this is the friggin Championship round of the sport, so that comparison doesn't help, or excuse the fuck up ; ) (not too mention hoops versus hockey, completely different animals where scoring is obviously less frequent in one than the other)

I hear what you're saying--it is unfortunate and they do need to be consistent. Unfortunately I didn't see the earlier call so I can't make an objective anaylsis :D

lol. Actually what is the 'weight capacity' recomendation for a blow-up doll?

Pleeease come out desperate Blueshirts…win every battle.

sidebar: why the hell is that one-trick tool Will Farrell on a screen in Times Sq. with "Go Kings Go" flashing across it??

Barry Melrose on the Kings: "They have the biggest heart of any team in the NHL…..they compete harder than anybody else"

I don't question your sincerity for a second. I'm only addressing the other part of your post: what's the weight capacity of an inflatable doll? ;)

At this point I don't care anymore if the Rangers open 4-0, because the Kings are guaranteed to make it 4-4 by the third period. Something's got to change because the Kings are gonna do the same thing they did to three other teams and the Rangers in the first 2 games. Really hope AV can find something to exploit to stop them from charging back

JS..Going to disagree with you on two fronts.

    1. I really thought I saw the puck start to go end over end before going into the stands...really do think I saw that. I don't think that was a delay.

Now #2, on the interference. MACS job is to clear the front of the net...now if a guy is in front and MAC pushes him into the goalie? I get it...no call. That's not what happened. This guy, BEFORE he was hit by Hank..and before the puck was shot...his left skate goes into the blue zone...MAC goes to clear him...puck shot. Period. This guy was in the blue zone..HANKS zone....before MAC hit him..and before the puck was shot.

Have watched it a million times. He is not out of the blue zone and then gets pushed in. MAC pushes him while..thats the key..while he was in the blue zone..puck shot.

Now, guys go in and out of the goalie zone with no puck pay..you will see their skate cross in and out...no call. As soon as Mac hit him..he was already there. Play it back and look again. Im telling you..he was in the zone already.

watch at the 53 second point of this video. His left skate is in the blue zone before MAC hits hit him.

And I respectfully disagree. King's entry into the crease and MAC pushing him was coincidental--before the shot--had MAC not pushed him into Henrik, King would have cleared the crease before the shot and possibly never even have entered into it. MAC didn't clear him out or prevent him from getting into the crease--it looked to me like MAC pushed him with his stick. But it's too bang-bang to call it clearly either way.

At :51 you cannot see King's skate--it is below his torso--and MAC has already initiated contact.

fuck the interference, it's over. has to be dropped to move forward. do you know the kings scored the tying goal about 45 seconds after henrik
was barking the ref later on after the no-call? the goal was due to a mistake by mcdonagh, one of the few he makes, but arguing with the ref probably didn't help henrik,
he settled down again after it got tied. henrik has been fine in my opinion. how many kings goals are off of terrible give aways in the zone? at least 4 of them.

game tonight probably goes like this: Rangers open up leading 5-0, Kings tie up 5-5 by the end of the second. Learning from their mistakes, Rangers score another three and lead it 8-5, Kings score another 2, and with 0:02 left in the third period Gaborik takes a shot and hits the crossbar, Rangers win 8-7
