You can see the future that he was going continue through while the shot is in the air huh? That call was a tough one either way...but its been called almost everytime goalie interference. Back to hockey...if this team cant get over the 2 goal leads..man..we have talked about a million times...its amazing how the Kings do this to every team they play. Have to give them credit. If the giveaways continue, game 3, well...cliche..its over. Christ...even MAC had at least 2 giveaways that were not goals. The Richards giveaway was one the dumbest players ever. Jay, the interference wasn't a tough call considering the reason why the referee decided not to call it. He didn't base his decision on whether McDonagh pushed King into Hank or King fell into Hank. From what I read the referee told Hank that he made the call that he did because the puck was already by him by the time the contact occurred. So it seems like the referee acknowledged that King caused the contact, but he is claiming that it didn't effect Hank. I'm sure the referee will see the replay and see that the contact occurred before the puck got by Hank. Hank said that it was an easy save for him if King didn't fall on, so the only way that the puck was getting by Hank was if King fell on him before the puck got to Hank. Its a brutal call. I've seen so many people saying that the Rangers had a ton of chances to win the game, so they shouldn't be complaining. While I agree that the Rangers had a lot of chances to win the game, that doesn't excuse the referee missing that call. Its disgusting that a referee is missing an easy call that directly effects the outcome of a game in the SCF. The puck up over the glass lead to the game winning goal. The LA Kings should have never gotten that opportunity. They should have been on the PK at the time that they scored. On to the next game. I like how the Rangers are playing, but Hank needs to find a way to keep more pucks out of the net. He wasn't particularly bad on any of the goals, but he shouldn't be giving up five goals in the SCF if he's the best goalie in the world. The Rangers are scoring, but the defense and the goaltender need to be better. I think the Rangers have been the better team in both games, but haven't gotten the result to show for it.

Good morning Rangers fans! I haven't read your posts in this thread, but I wanted to say you have nothing to be ashamed of last night. The Rangers outplayed the Kings most of the game, I felt. They really dominated in the 2nd OT. Unfortunately, the one chance the Kings had went in. Being down 0-2 is tough, but I can see it going back to LA tied 2-2.
TDK should have won In regulation, but refs are blind, we showed we can play with Doc Emrick's big bad monsters, easily could be 2-0 Rangers
We'll see if the calls go the Rangers way in the Garden. If not they can't beat the Kings. This series should be no worse than 1-1 at this point but you cannot beat the players in striped shirts.

Yeah, I agree. I know it sounds crazy, but I have been more impressed with the Rangers in the Finals than I have been the rest of the playoffs. They have stepped up their game.

The question now is: Can the Rangers win 4 out of the next 5 games? The first 2 games have shown nothing to say they can't. Just need the puck to bounce their way. They need to come out at MSG and dominate tomorrow night. Shift momentum. Maybe a 4-1ish win. That will help with Game 4 too. If they can win that, then head back to LA for a best of 3 series.
I did not get the memo that said this thread was for Rangers fans only. In case you didn't notice, this is a Jets forum, and there are three NHL teams in the NYC area and the fans of two of those teams would rather stick needles in their eyes than see the Rangers win a cup. So what is biased is based on perspective. I see Rangers' fans posting biased posts left and right. If you want a Rangers fest, go to the Rangers forum on HF. As for me sounding " like an idiot" - in the span of 90 minutes of hockey and dozens of calls and non-calls, it is a little naive and " biased" to base the entire game on one call or to claim the Rangers win if the third goal is disallowed. As an "intelligent hockey fan" you know that disallowing that goal changes the game. Who,says the Kings don't tie it up by pulling the goalie? Or that being dow 4-3 in the last 10 minutes, thecKings don't push the puck more and score ac4 th goal anyway? As for the calls, I thought the two interference calls called on the Kings in thr first overtime were ridiculously weak for an overtime game in the Cup finals. The Rangers had plenty of chances to win this game, but didn't. And let's face it, facts acre facts. The Rangers had an easy path to the finals. Playing against Emery and not facing Price was a huge break.

blaming the refs is retarded. Calling a team's path to the finals easy is also retarded. Bottom line in this series is the give-aways. Plain and simple. Heinous give-aways led to the game 1 loss and Richards' and McD's heinous give aways last night led to that loss. The teams have played very evenly.
