Bullshit. I didn't watch a second of the game until halfway through the 4th quarter and didn't post until the 4th was halfway done. You said ALL of that when Lebron was cramping up. Stop the bullshit for once. _
Skip Bayless is going to get ripped yet another new one. Last night it was funny to read his tweets but yeah, cramps are no joke. With that said Lebron was clearly slowing down before cramps took him down and I was surprise to hear him say at one point he couldn't breathe. You would think the most physically fit player on the court would still be going strong before those cramps. If it happens again on Sunday I'll start to think it's more than cramps that is slowing him down and the heat won't flat out say until finals are over. Sent from my LG-LS720 using Tapatalk
It's not the cramps people are talking about. Well not me at least. He was exhausted. He was complaining non stop on the bench about the heat and even referenced that he can not breathe. At one point he told Bosh that it feels like he had played an entire game already. He was mic'd last night, so it's kind of easy to find out what he said. If you're the best athlete in the world, which he clearly is, you can't let fatigue get to you. Especially in an NBA finals game. Cramping? Nothing you can do. But fatigue and complaining about the temperature? You have to be better than that.
That was a weird game. Cramps discussions aside, it seemed like the game flipped on it's head late, Ray Allen and Wade couldn't buy shots and Kawhi and Danny Green both went off. Most of the starters looked like they were playing in wet cement down the stretch, but the Spurs' bench ended up running the Heat like dogs late. Yeah, it would have been a different game if Lebron hadn't cramped up, but it also would have been a different game if the Heat hadn't straight up gone cold in the 4th.
You cant get outscored in the 4th quarter 36-17 and expect to win. I hope Popovich shows the Spurs the game 6 collapse to get them fired up for game 2 cuz we know the Heat will be bringing it on Sunday night.
Hell, even Tony was hitting 3's. I know that Lebron has played a few long seasons in the past few years, but Parker has been playing basketball nonstop for the past 3 seasons, NBA season+postseason, then the French national team in the summer, 3 straight years. If anybody had an excuse to fold in that hotbox last night it was Tony.
Bill Barnwell @billbarnwell 1m When Michael Jordan got sick the game BEFORE the flu game, he asked out of the lineup in a 78-73 Jazz Finals win. http://books.google.com/books?id=leziAAAAQBAJ&pg=PT375&lpg=PT375&dq=%22michael+jordan%22+cramp+-lebron&source=bl&ots=Tqr1DC6mod&sig=hCo4ikXyLIKwrjpo5Gi_kgLEiqM&hl=en&sa=X&ei=1cORU8PgBeqisQTj1oGAAw&ved=0CEUQ6AEwBA#v=onepage&q=%22michael%20jordan%22%20cramp%20-lebron&f=false…
Seems to be this is Lebron's weakness for a while. I guess there is a downside to be his size, strength, and quickness. Side note, I believe for no reason except he is Pat Riley, that Pat Riley thinks this was intentional. http://espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/201...-james-hampered-cramps-sweltering-san-antonio
Well my whole thing was that at 7:24 of the third quarter he told Spoelstra to pull him out. Now I understand that it was hot as hell in there but this was 4 1/2 minutes out of halftime. Out of all the people on the court, he was the first to leave. I dont have to be a world class athlete to say that he wasnt conditioned for it. The fact is, he was not conditioned for it, if he was, he would have played on. Saying stuff like "I cant breathe" just tells me he was completely out of breath and this is only after 4 1/2 minutes. Tony came out at 7 minutes but Tony has been dealing with an injury that kept him out of the ENTIRE half of last game so I am not going to sit here and assume he was out of breath to until I hear something.
That's the problem. The way the Spurs played last night is being completely overlooked and blamed entirely on the heat. The Spurs shot an astounding 85% in the fourth quarter. That's unbelievable. The heat in the stadium did pose as a huge factor, but it was a factor for every player out there. It was just as bad for San Antonio as it was from Miami. Lebron should have drank more fluids and stopped complaining.
The LeBron James Academy of flopping/acting is now accepting applications, come learn from the best in the business.
LeBron James looks perfectly fine now lol Look, I know cramps are a terrible thing but he was bitching about the heat all night. Shut the fuck up and play. He was mentally and physically exhausted last night. There's no other excuse
Pierce didn't even have the excuse of the AC mysteriously malfunctioning. He just faked an injury. Paul "Wheelchair" Pierce. Never forget.
