Giradi better play the game of his life Saturday, so should EVERY Ranger. It's the most taxing and difficult professional sport to make the finals in, this might be the only time they ever make it this far.
That's another key component that I didn't really put too much in to. The whole 17 Kings players with a cup and 3 Rangers and only 2 are playing. I mean, that's key..and I think the whole deer in the headlights thingy will be done come game 2. I could be wrong but I expect a totally different performance for game 2. If we get a replica of game 1..early lead...great first period...dominance by them in the 3rd period..this series might as well be over. Just don't expect that. Think the team has that one out of the way and lets face it, we were a breakaway with under a minute to go of still winning the game. Negatives have left the building here. We will win game 2...feel good about it now. LGR baby.
The positive I took away from last night is they are very beatable. This is NOT a great team guys. They cant match our speed. I think our speed advantage is bigger than their size advantage. That said everyone on this team has to do better Saturday than they did last night. EVERYONE. including the players that played well
I still think one thing we can exploit Is their dmen pinching as low as the faceoff circles, Doughty got caught a few times Jay
Even if the Rangers split at MSG, as long as they go back to LA no worse than 2-2 in the series, I think its a winnable series. The Rangers play well on the road, so I don't think it matters that much whether a game is at home or on the road, so I don't agree with those that say that the Rangers have to take home ice advantage away from the Kings by winning the next three games. If the Rangers get to game seven tied 3-3, I think it sets up well for the Rangers to win the Cup. If they go down 3-1 or 3-0 though, I think the series is over.
Its because you are overstating it. Like most guys on the team, he played well for the first 40 minutes and struggled afterwards. Staal, Richards, Stepan and Nash are the guys to be worrying about, especially Richards who looks so shockingly bad. I wouldn't scratch him like last year, but he definitely deserves to be scratched. He is doing so little that a player like JT Miller would probably help the team more than Richards right now. Nash played well the first two games against Montreal, but hasn't played well since. Stepan hasn't played well in the playoffs. He was motivated during game 5 in Montreal because that was his first game back since the broken jaw, but he's not playing like you'd expect a #1 center to play. The big problem I see with the defense is Staal who has been very bad since the Pittsburgh series. I think that the injuries are past him. During stretches in the regular season and playoffs, he was playing as well as ever. Staal plays well when he is motivated, so why is he not motivated at this point in the season? He was motivated to play well against Crosby and Malkin, and he did a great job. When he's not playing well, he looks lazy, clumsy and unmotivated. It makes no sense to me why this would be happening now.
Moore should be back in the lineup in game 2. He's turning into a good player. If the Rangers decide to trade Staal in the offseason, Moore could be in line to move up to the second defensive pair. He's still a young player that is developing. He's only 23.

Lol...I love the guy abyz. Saw him on an Oprah special (yeah...that's right..oprah..trying to expand my feminine side) He was talking about drug addiction etc...I think the guy is great. Not agreeing with everything he puts out there..but he is one of the rare people that does it because he believes it..not to get his picture taken. OK..SORRY FOR OFF TRACK. BRADSUCKS...I hear about Girardi being left alone here a bit. I think the list is long of guys you can point fingers at. You can add up one goal by at least 5 players and we should have won 7-2. Nonsense..yeah...but Hank let one easy one in. MSL missed an open net. Stepan not only had a giveaway/goal but played the game as if you are supposed to shit into the net not put the puck in the net the way he had his ass facing the net all game long. Nash turned a 3 on 2 into a broadway play solo performance. Staal had 2 of those but we lucked out. I mean the list is long and we lost in overtime. I totally get your point though, that giveaway was brutal. Read an article in the post that he cant wait to get back on the ice..so that's a good sign.
Oh Boo-Hoo, Mark Cannizzaro! Maybe Dan Girardi can buy you a tissue with the 33M he will earn over the next 5 years: http://nypost.com/2014/06/05/girardis-agonizing-wait-for-a-chance-at-redemption/ SANTA MONICA, Calif. — The waiting is always the hardest part. In the case of Rangers defenseman Dan Girardi — whose defensive-zone turnover in overtime Wednesday night at Staples Center handed Game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals to the Kings in the form of a 3-2 victory — his wait is particularly agonizing because the teams don’t meet again until Saturday. That means Girardi will have had a full two days to marinate on his mistake before getting the chance to redeem himself in Game 2. Understand this: Girardi did not lose the game for the Rangers. There were a dozen other plays that, had they been executed, could have given the Rangers a 1-0 series lead. But because of when his mistake occurred, the spotlight burns most brightly on it.
shit!! HACK..i KEEP getting you and BRAD confused...sorry. I referenced him instead of you in a post..will quote you guys instead in the future..sorry about that.
I'm gonna say the Kings score first but the Rangers eek out a win 2-1 in another coronary thrombosis cooker. it's in the mail I tell you.
