It's not about "dumping on the guy" it's continuing the argument about his qualifications as an NFL quarterback. If he kills it in Philadelphia, the Jets organization is a bunch of schmucks for not mining the gold. If he's out of the game before Labor Day, the Jets organization is a bunch of schmucks for keeping him around so long.
Rex's parting words with Sanchez, "Mark, forgive them, for they know not how to surround you with talent"
Why are you "concerned" about a player on another team. Unless you hate that player. That person. Oh, an ex-Jet who led you to some of the most exciting football in your life (you didn't watch Jet football before 2000, right?) You dumped on an ex-Jet who missed a few passes in OTAs. You idolize a player who couldn't complete more than 9 passes a game. For 4 professional games. You don't love the Jets. You love some dude. Which is ok. You're a kid. We get it. _
No, it's about dumping on the guy. You hate him, I get it. He was a part of the most exciting couple of years Jet fans have had in a decade. It's okay. You're allowed to hate the guy. That's fine. You should embrace that hatred. _
So anyway, when is the next time Sanchez ends up looking like a dipshit for some LA whore on TMZ? Any bets?
And I don't even have a problem with him being gay. I had a bigger problem with Tebow being gay, since he was a huge bible thumper and his religious people hated gays. Sanchez could actually come out of this on a positive by admitting it. No pun intended about the come thing.
I don't hate Mark but I do hate excuses being made for poor play. As for your second comment I'm not even gonna dignify that with a response.
Did you even bother to read what I said? The argument will continue as to whether Sanchez was qualified to be an NFL quarterback until, as I said, he succeeds or he is gone. No matter how much he excited you for a couple of years, the jury is still out. And that infantile response of calling people haters because they don't embrace your adulation only serves to diminish your argument.
No it still there. You can say what you want about Sanchez, but he can make all the throws. He got nice arm strength not great but nice. Again his problem between his ears.
If he can make all the throws, how come the guy on screen passes consistently throws interceptions? He is not the same kid that was taken 5 overall. Injuries have depleted his talent.
Uh yes it does, the injuries to his shoulder have removed some of his arm strength and velocity he once had coming into the league. He's not the same player physically or mentally.
i disagree, the jets current fo was in a bad situation with mark sanchez and held onto him as long as they had to. and then got rid of him as soon as they could. it ended up all working out pretty well for the jets. if the guy ends up being a pro bowl qb it wont change the fact that he was not any good while he was here. if he continues on his reign of mediocrity and decrepidness it wont convince anyone who believes he was good that he sucked. it will be fun though. and thats why this topic will stay at the top of the nfl forum for the next few months if not the next year.
