Dear Mighty and Fearful LA Kings, the true Gods of hockey, yee who stride like angels of forechecking amongst the weak and flatulent mortals of the East, we desperate and playoff-less rabble humbly supplicate ourselves so that yee may smite the all consuming Evil that haunts these rinks, the villainous and vile NY Rangers, the evil that fills us with impotent rage and makes our eyes brim with tears made of real tears. Hear our whine filled forum posts and rid us of this darkness that has stolen our dreams, our hopes and our brackets. This we humbly beseech thee.

    Love, Devils fans everywhere.

im still giddy! would like to see the hawks force a 7th game. I'd rather face them, honestly, they are big and tough, the rangers match up better against the hawks.
I can't believe the boys are waiting to see who they play in the cup finals!! haaa haaa!!! this feels so foreign! I like it. I like it a lot!

Like Steve Sommers would say, a guy would call up and say I'm a devils fan and Steve would say you're the one!

This Ken Campball character then quotes the responders and included all their "mean, nasty widdle things" that hurrrt poor Kenny's fweelings-lmao. What a imbicile!

We all love the passion of hockey fans. It’s part of the reason we’re in business and why I have a job. And when readers discover I’ve made a mistake or disagree with something I have to say, they have every right to call me out and make me accountable. But to form a social media lynch mob that has nothing better to do than personally attack someone with whom they don’t agree?

Here’s a sampling of what some of the keyboard warriors had to say on social media after Game 7 (as they appeared):

From Mike: “And don’t forget to p—s on douchebag of the year @THNKenCampbell for his amazing article.”
From Corey: “@THNKenCampbell quit writhing your awful articles loser. You clearly suck at it.”
From Mark Peldunas: “@THNKenCampbell still think the Rangers are mediocre you idiot? Still think they should break up the team? Shove it!”
From heavyD: “Ken burns himself with lit cigarettes while touching himself look at pictures of Malkin…at his O face probably looks like crosbys whining to the refs face.” (If anyone can make any sense of this one, please let us know.)
From Doctor Arik Soong: “He was such an ass while writing this that he shouldn’t resurface till next year…for his own sake.”
From YOT: “Ken Campbell, You’re a tool of the highest order. Great insight you asshat!”
From Des Po: “My cat is refusing to use his litter box because I lined it with this article. Great job jerk.”
And this beauty from Chris Tullo: “The entire hockey community is laughing at you Campbell..you biased happy-haired douchebag. suck it.
And that did not include all the comments that we couldn’t run because they were simply too profane

No, either Western team will have home ice in the Finals.

Whatever. If we take one game on the road we'll come back to a bloodthirsty MSG crowd. The building almost collapsed last night, how loud do you think the Garden faithful are going to be playing in THE CUP?

    Just busting balls. I'm a Devil/Bruin fan.

Anything that can bring misery to Ranger fans is good in my book :D

    Two words: Bobby Orr.

    The greatest of all time.

    M. Lemieux is the greatest of all time in my opinion. Another legend ruined by health problems.

So, you guys want the Kings or Hawks?

Orr changed the game, kind of like LT.

And I'm hoping the Kings. Quick is just as good as The King and the rest of the squad is much deeper and bigger than the Rangers.

Chicago won't fuck off. If this goes 7, does anybody here have the stones to bet against Chi town? Kings need this.

Hawks win would be the Rangers lucky ticket. Easier than LA, and worn down from a 7 game series have to run around chasing the Rangers

Wait, who REALLY wants to play against a team that was down 3-1 in the playoffs and came back to win their series? That's a shit ton of momentum I want no part of.

    Gimme Chicago...

    3 straight long series..
    Less travel..
    Weaker goalie and defense..
Better offense than LA, but we have the King..
