Hahaha! I remember troll 2! The first one gave me nightmares when I was a kid, but #2 was so off the wall stupid it was great. I remember watching both of them somewhat recently with my siblings and it was nothing like we remembered as kids. It was hilarious though and we couldn't stop laughing. City of God was pretty awesome.
If you like movies that make you think and you really have to pay attention to understand fully, try watching Mr. Nobody. Weird but cool.
Layer Cake Revolver(assuming you've seen snatch and lock stock already) Equilibrium Cube Dredd Session 9 Sling Blade Boogie Nights(may not belong on an underrated list but the fact that it was starring marky mark kept me from watching it for awhile)
Good film, if you liked Pan's Labyrinth you'll like The Fall directed by Tarsem Singh. And if you want to see the woman from Pan naked, rent Y Tu Mama Tambien. _
I've seen most of those, all great, haven't seen Dredd, and didn't know it was supposed to be good. I know you're a fierce critic so I'll add that one. Revolver? Is that another Guy Ritchie masterpiece? Edit: Session 9 - CARUSO????
Dredd took me by suprise too, its a pretty straight forward action movie but the cast is good and its paced well, no chase scenes/fights that go on for 30 minutes. Revolver is a Ritchie movie but it's got a lot less comedy than his others and the plot can be a little convoluted, I thought it was better than Rocknrolla though. As far as Session 9 goes I think I saw the movie before CSI Caruso became a thing
Btw how great was Gay Perry? Favorite line from CorbinBernsen/Harlan Dexter: "Captain Fucking Magic". _
It took his fourth line in the movie before I even recognized him, Mr Pretty all of a sudden looks like an old man.
Not that I'm pushing it but interested what you'd think of Lucky Number Slevin. If you get a chance. _
Tomorrow if I get the chance, I have like 15 new movies queued up. The cast (aside from Hartnett) is great.
