I remember the exact date I got my wisdom teeth out. It was Saturday, December 20, 1980. Was home from college for Christmas break my senior year.

My dear sweet Mom, knowing I was a lifelong diehard Jet fan knew that the Jets were playing on that Saturday against the Dolphins, and to make me all comfy after having 4 impacted wisdom teeth crushed then chiseled out of my head that morning, set up a TV in my childhood bedroom so I could watch the game from my bed.

I was on a ton of percodan because they really did a number on my mouth and when I woke up in one of my hazes, the Jet game was on. But something was weird, I heard crowd noises and I heard the PA announcer at the stadium, but I wasn't hearing any of the usual play-by-play or color commentators on the TV. Was very surreal. :D

    ^^^

I remember that announcer-less Jet-Dolphin game at the Orange Bowl and IIRC, it was the idea of NBC's Don Ollmeyer. It was a great idea; major thinking outside the box by Ollmeyer or whoever thought of it. What I also remember is that the good guys won.

Good thread. Love to keep up to date on this stuff but don't follow all of these guys on twitter so it's good to have one place to go.

I wouldn't mind these twitters if they actually told us something, like what Geno is doing right this year??

LOL. We can always hope that he was spinning the ball on his finger like a Globetrotter.

That probably stood out to me. Any way that he can start across from Millner or play inside and replace Kyle Wilson with Patterson on the outside and then trade Kyle Wilson to a CB hungry team for a 2nd/3rd?

You really think any team would trade a 2 or 3 for Kyle Wilson after he got beaten out by those guys?

Of course! but only after Rex goes on and on about Wilson being the best corner he's ever seen....

Oh Wilson will net us a pick alright... a compensatory pick as he moves on and signs elsewhere next year.

all signs point to the jets moving on from their former 1st rounder, even his role as nickleback is looking unsafe with the signings of McDougle or Patterson who could both conceivably play that role or CB opposite Milliner.

LOL Kyle Wilson is decent in the slot now. Everyone wants him gone so badly though. Keep Wilson, let the other guys fight over the outside positions.

This is what I am talking about with you and this "me versus them" crap. There are plenty enough people who think he can play in his current capacity well, and only speak in hypotheticals about him being traded.

You then take that as an absolute and then take it upon yourself to chide "everyone".

I believe that Kyle Wilson is one of the best slot corner-backs in the NFL - doesn't generate turnovers, but rarely gives up big plays and touchdowns
