Spoilers for people who hadn't watched that week's show yet. I don't look for any 'future' spoilers; I just watch the show week by week, and I know some people don't get to watching it right away. I usually post pretty soon after the show airs (I watch it a few hours after it airs on TV).
Wasn't it Boudreau that actually gave those orders or did they not show it? It seemed like Heller and Audrey were willing to give Jack the benefit of the doubt. I think Boudreau is working for for the terrorists. It seems pretty obvious the way he is arguing for Jack to be killed over all else, including a possible threat to the president that could start a war. He doesn't seem objective in the least. Things are definitely heating up. Next week should be interesting. I wonder if / when Tony Almeida will show up. It seems that a 24 season is never complete without him. Off the wall prediction: Chloe's husband may not actually be dead. Something tells me the entire thing was a set up and that he's working with the bad guys in some capacity.
Morris? He was a good guy in past episodes. Would be a surprise if he turned. Regarding Kate's husband (the "traitor"): I didn't even know he was dead, but apparently he supposedly committed suicide. I must've missed that (I assume they mentioned it). I think Boudreau did order them to take him out. Heller had the opportunity to basically override Boudreau, but he didn't. Boudreau is dirty, good chance he's controlled by someone else. Heller is supposed to be good, th0ugh, which is why it's odd that he wants to take out Bauer and refuses to listen. Heller in the past always knew Bauer was doing what was best for the country, he just didn't want him with Audrey because Audrey would get hurt.
Interesting. Yeah, I tend to agree about Morris. Perhaps it's a deep cover thing, or maybe he just didn't want to come back to the show so they wrote him off. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Kate's husband was still alive. I think we'll know more soon enough. Anyways I still love this show, it needs to keep going! I'd be happy if it went 5 more seasons haha.
They basically got rid of Morris after season 6 (his first season was season 5, so he was a two season guy). Maybe the actor wanted to do other things or maybe 24 just got sick of him. He appeared in only a couple of season 7 episodes and then was left out of season 8 (he was in the 'epilogue', which you only saw if you bought the Blu-Ray). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morris_O'Brian
just wow at Margot she blames Naveed as if he hurt her daughter "a mother should never have to watch her daughter..." YOU ORDERED IT DONE, YOU CRAZY BITCH! WHO TORTURES THEIR OWN CHILDREN?
But, what about her daughter just standing their watching? Sheesh. We knew that Naveeds plan would fail, that was just way too obvious, but, when Jack gets his wish (which of course has to happen imo), I can see him asking Kate to be apart of his new team, or at the very least they will work together in some capacity.
Little twist. I thought Simone would tell Margot about what Naveed did (like she did before, Naveed was a fool to trust her again), and they'd escape (I guess 24 couldn't do it because they wouldn't be able to keep the drone operation running if they changed locations). Instead, they knew and set it up as a trap and killed most of Navarro's men. I think the next step is Heller realizes he has to bite the bullet and ask Jack for help, and Jack insists that Kate is part of the deal. It makes sense. Heller saying he wants the name of the guy was funny. He'd screw it up just like they always screw it up. I posted my previous post last night when I was only midway through, I just now saw the ending. Surprising, but her loyalty was always to her mother. She never showed any loyalty to him. The sex scenes were just because she's a nymph (she did the same with Yates, she'd do it with any man), and remember that her mother was watching. She probably knew, too. She was putting on a show for her. The other part that caught me off guard was Navarro. I figured he'd interpret Kate's call as her attempt to ruin his mission and take away his big achievement. Either way most of the team would die (that's 24's blood lust, people need to die), but it was obvious he was trying to steal credit, so I thought he'd argue with her and refuse to leave immediately (maybe finally pulling out as the drone missiles were launched). There's like 15-20 real characters this season. I wonder how many make it out of the season alive. Since they want to wrap it up anyway, they might have Jack go out in a blaze of glory with the terrorists at the end or something.
Oh man. That was an interesting twist although I thought it would always be the daughter that killed him. I just don't understand why she tortured her daughter to get Naveed to help, when she could have just killed him right away and brought in the other guy. It seemed like Naveed had some rare skills that others couldn't do, but that didn't last long. I can see the show coming down to the daughter eventually turning on the mother and giving Jack the info he wants.
They never explained it, but Naveed apparently had some kind of expertise in piloting drones. Margot coerced him to do it long enough that her son Ian could watch and learn. I think the part about him trying to betray them was irrelevant, she was going to dispose of Naveed as soon as she no longer needed him, regardless. That's how terrorists operate. Torturing the daughter made sense, for a heartless monster. Naveed was just not going to do anything otherwise and they needed him temporarily. Amazing how the daughter continues to side with her mother when her mother was willing to probably cut off all her limbs to make Naveed do her bidding. Would you be loyal to someone like that? Talk about serious brainwashing and/or mental illness. The most significant part of the last episode as far as 24 as a whole goes, was Jack finally getting to see Audrey again.
epi was good until the last seconds (literally). I mean c'mon, didnt we go through this like 5x already?
Haha, one of five things Jack requested. Heller suddenly wants to give Jack whatever he wants, an hour or two after he tried to have him killed. I'm midway through, but it seems pretty obvious the British are going to #$&% things up and ruin Jack's plans. Oh, and this exchange was good: Jack: He's loyal to his clients, but he's also greedy. That's how I'm gonna get him. Kate: You seem to know a lot about Rask. How? Jack: For the last two years, I've been working for him. Unfortunately for us, I think the second he sees me, he's gonna want to kill me. Get in the car.
When Simone was chasing the girl, I knew someone was going to get hit. The chases through busy streets on TV/movies always seem to end that way. I just thought the girl would be the one getting hit, not Simone. Simone had regrets but I guess she decided to kill Naveed's sister anyway because she was calling the police. Calling the police was pretty stupid. She says to leave London, leave London. What would you tell the police anyway? My sister-in-law told me to leave London and I'm scared? It's looking like Navarro is a mole and I'm not at all surprised. He was the only shady CIA character they showed us. Also not surprising: Adam Morgan was not a spy. One of these shady conspiracy rings decided to frame him.
the thug asks Jordan "Is the safety on or off?" I would've just pointed it at his arm or leg and pulled the trigger. Then he'd have his answer and he's be incapacitated. I don't get why they showed Simone at the end. Who cares what happens to her now?
When President Heller told Boudreau of his plan to give himself up, you could see that at first, Boudreau was going to argue (as he would have had the situation arose a day earlier). But then a lightbulb flashed in his head. He realized if the President was dead, no one could claim he (Boudreau) forged the signature. They wouldn't be able to ask Heller about it, and they'd be forced to take his word for it.
Great point, I didn't even think of that. I couldn't help but laugh at President Heller during the entire season. Not the brightest man.
I was thinking of the way Boudreau was at the beginning of the season, and he's changed a lot since he forged the signature to screw Bauer. The early season Boudreau would've argued with him, and if that didn't help, he would've gone to Audrey for help. But now he realized it's a great opportunity to get the president out of the way. The President told Bauer that "oh, I pardoned you", not realizing that the pardon is irrelevant since Boudreau is going to give Bauer to the Russians regardless. It's not clear whether Jordan Reed is alive or dead, and it's also not clear why it even matters.* Kate is obviously going to try and get to the bottom of it. Navarro will probably get exposed at the end of the season. *I guess it is clear. Reed is relevant for the treason plotline. He'd be the only one to uncover the partitions and see that Kate's husband was framed.
Kim Raver can't act for sh!t. By far the worst performance of the episode after she finds out what happened to her father. Also, though not in the last episode, how can you have a professional clean up man hit dude only in the shoulder..
