    My top 5:

    1) 24
    2) Game of Thrones
    3) Spartacus
    4) Breaking Bad
    Major cliff...
    5) Arrow (for now)

Also The Wire was awesome, but also overrated on the internet. But Omar is one of the greatest TV characters ever.

Watched the newest episode last night and thought it was awesome. Sucks that there is no ep next week. Still, lots of interesting things happened in that episode.

    Breaking Bad
    Sopranos
    Game of Thrones
    The Americans
    Vikings

I know there are shows I haven't watched that would probably jumble that list a bit, but I haven't watched a ton of TV over the years.

It's tough to rank shows that are still currently airing, if this was 2009 people would be saying Dexter is one of the best shows ever and what is Breaking Bad.

I swear that show is so over rated. It's like if you don't mention it in your top 5 people get shocked about it. It had a couple great seasons, but not nearly even close to a top 5 of all time show, IMO of course.

Yeah, the Wire is very overrated, but so is Breaking Bad in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, it was a great show, but it was nothing amazing. Entertaining as hell but nothing special. I thought the acting was spectacular but there was no thought process in it. Everything that happened, I foresaw happening. There is rarely something I know for sure is coming when dealing with Game of Thrones.

Seasons 1, 3 and 4 of The Wire are as good as any show ever made. I'm a Breaking Bad fanboy, but The Wire feels like a real-life documentary.

I refuse to rank GoT on the all-time TV list because it still has a lot of time to either improve or decline.

What makes Game of Thrones unique is that literally anything can happen. You say you predicted everything that would happen in Breaking Bad (which is bullshit), but that show has a basis in reality. Some things in that show have to be predictable: Walter isn't going to die for instance. Jesse could, but probably isn't, going to die. As a result, things have to happen to keep both alive, and you can make more realistic predictions that way.

Game of Thrones is based on a fantasy world, so anything can happen. Dragons? Magic? Unrealistic poisonings of kings? Anything can happen because it's a different world.

One of my favorite non comedy shows ever. I push that show on so many people who haven't watched it. It's incredible and one of the few dramas type shows I can rewatch and still be hooked.

Game of Thrones is really good but it is on hold for me because they are going to venture into some seasons where they are on their own without the books being published to lean on. They could get better or worse.

You foresaw WW using the Lily of the Valley to poison Brock but blamed it on the Ricin to somehow induce Jesse to plot against Gus Fring?

That WW would lean on Hector to forgive his past indescretions and convince him that Gus was actually the BIGGER villian in the wiping out of his bloodline?

That WW could let Jane choke on her own vomit so as to ward off any potential threat to the empire from her steering Jesse to be more independant?

    Really?

That was one of those shows that it occured to me that EVERYTHING was thought out way in advance. That show was one big brilliant thought process. The storyline and plot development grew geometrically as the show went on.

I like GOT but dragons? Magic? Really?

True Detective is an outstanding miniseries, one of the best.

The Following is one of the dumbest shows populated by the dumbest most bumbling cops, FBI agents, sheriffs, federal agents and local authorities every conceived. But the GF has forced me to watch it and it's Kevin Bacon so there you go.

I have to admit that TV in general has been exceptional lately. I follow Bates Motel, GOT, Supernatural, 24 and Person of Interest. Every single one of them has had epic episodes over the past few weeks!

Heh that's how I feel about House of Cards. Dumb show that is populated by the dumbest politicians, friends, and reporters ever conceived. But it has Kevin Spacey who is great.

I liked the first two seasons of Person of Interest, but they must have changed writers between season 2 and 3, because the show is now completely predictable and uncreative, and replacing Carter with that terrible Shaw character was a stupid move. Sarah Shahi can't act to save her life and she's now the focal point of most episodes, Reese is like a secondary character in most of the third season. I tapped out a couple of episodes ago but my wife still watches, as she is annoyingly loyal to good shows that turn into shit, she still watches that idiotic CSI show too.

Yeah, I'm a huge Michael Emerson fan so it's hard not to watch. There was a time when I kind of lost interest. I think it was late season 2 into early s3, but I feel it has come back and gotten better. There used to be a lot of filler episodes in the show, so it's not like you're following a steady plot line. Shaw gets more tolerable as well. I don't know if it's the actress, but part of me thinks her character is supposed to be stone cold and emotionless, hence it appears she can't act but it may really just be her character, kind of like Lori from Walking Dead. Fans hated her character but I don't think she was a bad actress. Root has taken a bigger role, but Reece is still the main dude. The last few eps they were all working together. I honestly think the show has been better in the 2nd half of season 3 than it has anytime in s1 or s2, mainly just because the plot line has gotten more serious and it's becoming less of a show that has a new plot in each new episode and more going towards a steady theme. I was shocked when they killed off Carter as well. I didn't think it was ever a serious show until that moment. Reece only became a secondary character for a few episodes while he was mourning Carter's death but he eventually came back to the light.

That's weird, from everyone who's watched it they love it. Treachery and backstabbing galore and well written.

Was going to start it this summer, I'll be on the lookout for your warning.

But nobody is dumber than law enforcement on The Following.
