When thinking about how this year will go I think it's really important we make one more move if we can... Sign jonathan Joseph if he is cut. I think that gives us a reliable veteran next to dee who is used to getting cb1 assignments and shores up the only area of the D that I'm worried about. If we can do that I really think we can make the playoffs. Whether it be wildcard or beating out the pats for the division. At that point I think if coples and hill finally break out we could look dangerous at times.

With hill it really pisses me off because he actually has Calvin athleticism and he hasn't put it together. If he does he would be literally filthy on the field. Why is it that he can't just work out like Calvin and demariyus!! With a extended offseason to get healthy and a second year with geno and actual weapons this is the best and probably last shot he has. And make no mistake about it if he does he can become our wr1.

Jet Fan Karma being what it is, all Fans who've rooted for the Jets longer than 25 years will die the day before we win the SB. Just how it works.

Barring injuries, there's no question this team is better today than they were, this time, last year.
I say 9-7, because of our schedule, but I think that certainly puts us in playoff contention.

NFL Game Rewind. It's a premium service where you can rewatch games from TV angle and also from coaches film angles.

I subscribe to NFL game rewind, I usually do it right at the beginning of the season, it's $70 I think and you have access to every game through the playoffs plus all 22 cam. The subscription lasts until July and then you have to renew.

Vegas has put up the over/under number for wins this season. Here's the "smart money" numbers for the AFC East:

    New England 10 1/2
    Miami 8
    Jets 7
    Buffalo 6 1/2

I've gone for 8-8 (9-7 at best). If there is to be a break-out season then it's going to be 2015 as this is when I expect the skill positions to mature into regular, potentially franchise, team players. I can't pin all my hopes for 2014 on a young QB and rookie WRs when Decker is drawing #1 CB coverage.

The schedule looks tough, admittedly as did last season with Houston/Atlanta, but there's little scope for growing pains - particularly with Geno. If we get to 9-7 and Cimini is tweeting about reversing into the play-offs again, then we've had a great season.

Looks like Peyton will miss at least the first four games of next year for breaking the NFL substance abuse policy

7 sounds about right for the Jets. I wouldn't touch that line. I don't think Miami wins 8 and I could see buffalo winning more than 6

Vegas hardly ever predicts what they think will happen, they predict what they can get suckers to believe so they can make money off of them.

I would take the under all day on Miami winning only 7 games. They are on my radar for teams this year that are going to be a downright disaster. They had a terrible draft. They didn't go much to address their biggest problem which was a lack of a running game, and didn't do much to address their rush defense either. Many people have also been questioning whether Philbin is in over his head and he is obviously on the hot seat. Stack that with the fact that Tannehill had 23 turnovers in his second year and didn't look like he progressed at all, and I think you have a recipe for a downright mess.

I wouldn't touch that Bills line. My guess is that they win 6 or 7. At 6 1/2 it's a crapshoot. I have mixed feelings on EJ Manual too. He showed flashes of great stuff as a rookie last year, but also looked terrible at times.

I am actually leaning towards the under on the Patriots but it's close. They went 12 -4 last year BUT they won 6 games by 3 points or less, and 3 of those games were miracle wins. The Jets really should have swept them too, but that's just the angry Jet fan in me talking. They did nearly nothing to upgrade their offense either and had a very strange draft for a team that had real needs. Adding Revis won't have that much of an impact either. Losing Talib and adding Revis is a small upgrade that probebly won't translate into wins. I have them in the 9 to 10 win range right now, but if Gronk can't stay healthy then they really are just a 7 - 8 win team.

I never bet on the Jets but them being at 7 is free money. They added the most out of anyone in the division by far. They have a lot of guys going into year 2 that are only going to improve. Their receiving core, although young is miles ahead of where it was last year. And EVERYONE is forgetting about Chris Johnson. The same Chris Johnson that put up 1400+ combined yards, 10 total TD's last year on a Titans team that where everyone who faced them just stacked the box constantly. He's not CJ2k anymore but if he is CJ1.4k + 10 TD's like last year then the odds of the Jets not going atleast 8-8 is pretty low.

Pretty Much. Me and My brother do a little betting on College Football and nearly always come out ahead because Vegas puts such a strong emphasis on big name schools, and public perception. NFL on the other hand....:mad::mad:....That's usually my face after trying to bet on NFL games.

Actually, YOU are totally missing the point. Sports is entertainment. The idea is to be entertained during the season, get excited and hope we can win more games than we lose, make the playoffs and compete for a championship. It's supposed to be a fun ride up until the point you get eliminated. If the only thing you care about is the final result then don't bother watching the NFL season. Check back sometime in February and we'll let you know who won the SB. Sounds like a hoot.

U are a true pill so last post to U. They play 16 regular season games so each game is a stepping stone to the SB & when U lose more then U win which is what the NYJs have done thru out there history so U R DEPRESSED more then "entertained" since we lose more then win & for sure this year the SB is not in our future no matter if U are deluded until thinking the opposite those are the very ugly facts no matterif U accept that or not. Oh yes I schedule this thread to rebound to me in late Jan so U better have a very deep foxhole dug to protect yourself
